I was away last week so missed the decline.

Horizontal support at 63.00p remained intact (on a two day closing basis) and the share-price just touched the bottom of the descending channel - again.

Closes above the recent high of 73.65p can be construed as a change in trend and would take us out of the descending channel. It would also give a double bottom.

The 50 day SMA is at a smidge over 70.00p and has kept a lid on things since late June.

The 200 day SMA is at 76.33p.

Indicators are bullish.

I'll do a chart later...just got busy elsewhere!

EDIT: A bit of a whoosh since I started typing!¬)

IMHO combination of anticipation of news during the summit and no overhang of stock at present.

I have a gut feeling that we may see some kind of JV or commercial deal announcement to coincide with the Summit this week.
contracts have been signed that pretty obvious from the update.

Similar to what Siennadelekat reports. Historically I suffered with heartburn, usually late evening. I hadn't given it a thought. I never really got to the bottom of why I suffered with it. It want poor eating habits. I had heartburn last night for the first time since using GF, which I know was caused by Budweiser out of a tin. Yuk. Never again.

We are told "The publication of results from our successful human cholesterol study and scientific studies demonstrating our products mechanism of action will support the launch of a range of cardiovascular products to reduce LDL cholesterol, blood pressure, and cardiovascular risk, anticipated for the spring of 2017. These studies, once published, provide the scientific evidence for sales and marketing literature to provide product differentiation and support higher margins."

It's also worth noting that Isabelle de Cremoux - President & CEO of Seventure Partners will be speaking at the summit:"Seventure Partners is a Paris-based venture capital organization focused on innovation in life sciences and ICT. The broad focus areas within life sciences are therapeutics, medical devices and diagnostics and nutrition. The specific 'core' of Seventure's investment strategy is 'health, biotech, nutrition and wellness', with particular focus on the microbiome."It would be fantastic if Seventure started to acquire OPTI stock, if they haven't already.

These sugars have the ability to accentuate the growth rate of specific microbialstrains, species, and genera.Stephen O'Hara - OptiBiotix Health -CEOIt's interesting to look around the agenda page - one speaker will talk about "Probiotics and prebiotics for mental health and cognition".

mouse20, thanks for that : Canadian not Swedish mice becoming bolder etc.. As you say,
all inconclusive at this stage - unless of course OPTI has a march ahead of everyone, per Parob's reminder above (16952). Given the unknown element that appears to surround the science - as elrico demonstrates with the PNSA paper which highlights the ill-defined way BSH's & bacteria interact - it's been interesting to hear if current users of the slimming product happen to observe any behavioural change aside from that associated with dieting itself.'More energy' sounds good of course.

EDIT extra : elrico's paper was dated 2008 so maybe there've been advances since then re the role of bile salts etc.
