21/10/2016 08:21 | Well elrico if TW is an "insider" then he cannot give price sensitive information which makes his updates on HSR a bit pointless don't you think ? 🤔 | ![]() scotty1
21/10/2016 08:17 | Anyone got E P S forecast | ![]() dlku
21/10/2016 08:11 | Christmas 2016 or 2020? :-) TW should not be guessing....is he not still an insider since the IPO? I could be wrong, but one thing is for sure, both he and SOH have been caught out by the length of time it has taken to broker deals with global corporate's. I not sure about a rabbit....I'd much like a big turkey for Christmas. | elrico
21/10/2016 07:40 | HSR update TW still banging on about a commercial deal before Christmas, well i suppose by law of averages he'll be right about that one day,He also says he expects the IPO before Christmas, cannot see that myself but hey who knows.Happy to hold on and admittedly news on a commercial deal could come at any time as for the IPO i personally think that'll be early next year, for now though i reckon TW is doing more harm than good and his updates are now just a couple of lines because he's just playing the guessing game like the rest of us. | ![]() scotty1
21/10/2016 07:30 | Good morning mouse. You may well be correct. We have been led to believe the IPO will be BEFORE Christmas. SOH has also said he expected 4/5 more deals by November, so there is certainly scope for a couple of bunnies. Let's hope they're not "Bunnie boilers." | elrico
20/10/2016 21:10 | Owenmo, I agree regarding the potential agreements by next month but we have to remember when SOH mentioned this. It was very early this year before more enquiries came in from prospective partners. We have since been told that he was having 2 to 3 meetings per week with interested parties and this will slow the process. Ultimately the prize is to get the best deal be it by next month or whenever. Yes, the share price may slide but are we here to make a fast buck or be involved in a business that structures its foundations correctly? If SOH gets the early deals right, the company will be firmly on the best footing going forward. At this stage, SOH really needs to tell us where he is in the deal process obviously without breaking ND rules, more than anything to manage PI expectations which have been pumped up via vague dialogue from both himself and other sources. | ![]() uzbek1
20/10/2016 21:00 | Elrico, maybe Fincap are now insiders and there is nothing of substance to report in the near term. Based on much anticipated news flow (from both TW and SoH) which has not materialised over the last few months then I would not be surprised. So it could be a while off yet, hence pushing this IPO. Who knows? As owenmo says, surely SoH recognises the market impatience. But I do think he has a rabbit to pull out of the hat!! | ![]() mouse20
20/10/2016 20:13 | I agree Elrico (yet again!). I believe Finncapp should have entered the fray with a fanfare rather than a non event of sorts. Also agree with poster who reads "buy" for "accumulate". Same thing, surely? Finally, having informed us of expectation to have a number of alliances in place by November, SOH surely realises he's running out of time, lest he'd test our patience. | owenmo
20/10/2016 19:48 | .................... | maxwellsdemon
20/10/2016 19:47 | Pedantic as well as obsessive, you really are a sad case :)) PS I couldn't give a toss about the company I took my profit and moved on. | ![]() gbh2
20/10/2016 19:46 | I just think Finncap should have kept stum until OPTI had substantive news so Finncap could do a substantial note for its clients with real conviction. They scored an own goal today. As for ND. I'm sure Finncap will have been briefed. They will be made insiders as company broker. | elrico
20/10/2016 19:33 | I was mightily surprised the gap lasted as long as it did on such low volume - though I did try to justify its existence by comparing it to gaps formed higher up in the trend. Straw clutching! So it was just a 'common gap' after all. No matter. The gap closed in the best possible way with a spike down on modestly higher volume. Hopefully that is our higher low in. Notice the 50 day SMA (blue line) is keeping a lid on things, having previously been support. Log scale daily candlestick chart: As for FinnCap's use of the recommendation 'accumulate' - I don't know about FinnCap specifically, but some brokers prefer the use of 'accumulate' and 'reduce' rather than the more blatant 'buy' and 'sell'. Happy to be corrected by FinnCap followers. | ![]() marnewton
20/10/2016 18:47 | F3 I'm sure TW will post it once he gets his hands on it!A NDA is a NDA and I doubt FinnCap would be privy to price-sensitive information. SOH strikes me as someone who likes to do things by the book and he wouldn't want to jeopardise ongoing discussions or each partner's trust. There have been no major revenue-bearing RNS's thus far, hence FinnCap's 'accumulate' rating IMO. This no doubt would switch to a buy or more likely a strong buy on the back of such news - which as we know - could land at any time. Despite all the usual negativity today, the shares are down just 1%. Some chunky 20K and 25K buys went through and it wouldn't surprise me if it was the same buyer (II) as when we dropped to this level a couple of weeks back, just before the Midas article. There is certainly demand at this level! Hard to believe that investors let their shares go for 65p today, but each to their own! | ![]() parob
20/10/2016 17:42 | Seems as though Finncap released their first broker note today? Anyone got access to it? | ![]() f3rdinand
20/10/2016 17:40 | gbh2 - Firstly it's "your obsession" and not "you're obsession". "You're" is short for "you are", for instance "you are obsessed". I won't charge for the quick lesson. Secondly, it's hardly an obsession is it? My last post was 9 October. It's now the 20 October and the company released some news and I have commented on that news. An obsession would be someone constantly posting each and every day on every share price movement. If you wish to make a point then try responding to the following:- Today the company has effectively lent money to itself through a convertible loan note. It sounds like a bit of financial jiggery-pokery to me. What do you think? | ![]() michaelmouse
20/10/2016 16:29 | Although online limits are a lot better than they have been for a long time! | ![]() f3rdinand
20/10/2016 16:25 | To be honest, OPTI would be wise to think about what they RNS all it achieves is another wave of selling. I notice stock being dumped into the bell. | ![]() john henry
20/10/2016 16:23 | F3 there have been a few tie ups announced over the past 12 months and absolute diddly since. OPTI PR is shocking at best. | ![]() john henry
20/10/2016 16:18 | One gripe I do have with the company is the general lack of updates! I know they are tied with NDA's...but it wouldn't hurt letting people know why there have been delays! A simple RNS stating they have an offer on the table - and are considering two rival alternative offers for the cholesterol product, would settle a lot of nerves! SOH says stuff in interviews and e-mails that really ought to be RNS'd! IMO | ![]() f3rdinand
20/10/2016 16:11 | The interesting part of today's RNS was that the skinbiotix team is now in place! I thought it would have taken a few more months after the appointment last week! This tells me the IPO is now close...and why I bought 6000 odd more a few minutes ago! Looks like a few buyers made good use of the opportunity! Why anyone would sell so close to being issued shares in the spin off company is baffling. | ![]() f3rdinand
20/10/2016 15:20 | thank you Mouse20, i agree with the Motley update and we are awaiting the really major commercial news | neftanikoff
20/10/2016 15:12 | Motleys view of today Creating shareholder value One company with more positive news this morning was Optibiotix Health(LSE: OPTI). This AIM-listed firm has a growing portfolio of patents on compounds that change the way microbes in the body work and interact. For example, it has compounds that reduce cholesterol, for which there's an option agreement with "a multinational consumer goods company" (rumoured to be US giant Procter & Gamble) and compounds that tackle obesity, for which there's a commercial agreement with the owner of Slimfast. In fact, Optibiotix now has four distinct divisions and while progressing commercialisation, is also looking to create shareholder value by potentially giving each division a separate public listing. Today's news was of an increased investment in its majority owned SkinBiotix joint venture to "complete the development and human studies for the first product application, in addition to funding activities to support an initial public offering." Speculative buy Today's announcement from Optibiotix is another promising development, but the market is becoming impatient for some really major commercial news. The shares have drifted lower in recent months and have edged down again today to 67p, valuing the company at £52m. Optibiotix clearly has genuinely valuable intellectual property, interested commercial partners and potential to earn significant revenues from a small royalty on the huge volumes of products shifted by fast moving consumer goods companies -- as well as opportunities in such areas as healthcare-acquired infections and wound care. For these reasons, I continue to rate the stock as one of the best buys at the more speculative end of the investment spectrum. | ![]() mouse20
20/10/2016 15:03 | My guess is you're not a holder of these shares, in which case you're obsession with them means you've already last a packet on them or what???????????? | ![]() gbh2
20/10/2016 14:01 | There is no point in rehashing what has already been said regarding what news items are expected and guessing the timing of. What is clear from reading sentiment here; some understand the concept of ND and the fact OPTI (as with all small cap stocks) have dance to the tune of the MUCH LARGER corporate's. I have the same time consuming problem with another of my stocks. It has disruptive technology that has huge global implication for the shipping industries largest expense....fuel (c75%). Unfortunately, getting the real world tests done has taken longer than the smaller company would like, of course, but when you are dealing with the big boys that have the potential to make you into a big boy corporate, you behave and play the game of patience. I liken it to being too close to the mountain you can't see it. That is how some people here are. They can't see the mountain...and it's nothing to do with a freaking great big tree in the line of vision. | elrico |
