OptiBiotix Health plc

("OptiBiotix" or the "Company")

Manufacturing, supply and profit sharing agreement with Knighton Foods

OptiBiotix Health plc (AIM: OPTI), a life sciences business developing compounds to tackle obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes and skin care, announces it has entered into a manufacturing and supply agreement with Knighton Foods, ("Knighton"). The agreement grants Knighton an exclusive licence to manufacture and supply OptiBiotix's SlimBiome® weight management technology in the United Kingdom, in return for 50% of the profit, with an agreed cost of manufacture and minimum sales price per kilogramme.

Knighton, a wholly owned subsidiary of Premier Foods plc, is a leading producer of a wide range of high quality, value adding, functional powdered foods, specialist ingredients and finished products, to some of the countries major supermarkets, high street coffee houses, and best-known household brands. Knighton's advanced powder technology was key to developing an improved version of SlimBiome®, providing enhanced solubility and better product presentation, greatly improving flavour and mouthfeel.

SlimBiome®, a patented combination of natural ingredients developed by experts to provide hunger free weight loss, will be supplied by Knighton as a specialised functional ingredient, into a wide range of finished products for use in the retail, vending, and ingredients sectors. Knighton will use their best endeavours to promote and expand the supply of SlimBiome®, bringing it to the attention of product innovation teams across their wide range of customers.

This agreement, with one of the UK's leading specialist ingredients suppliers, is an important step in optimising the supply chain by leveraging Knighton's purchasing power, manufacturing efficiencies and partner network to scale up the manufacture and supply of SlimBiome®. This is an important step to meet the needs of major UK retailers and exports of SlimBiome®, and SlimBiome® containing products to Tata, and potential new partners, in the Iarge consumer markets of India and the USA.

Stephen O'Hara, CEO of OptiBiotix, commented: "We are pleased to announce the signing of a manufacturing, supply and profit sharing agreement with Knighton Foods. We chose Knighton due to their world leading expertise in adding value and differentiation to speciality powdered ingredients like SlimBiome®. Their development work greatly improved SlimBiome's solubility, taste and mouthfeel whilst reducing the overall cost of manufacture. We believe working with Knighton, and similar partners around the world, provides the best opportunity of meeting the requirements of major retailers and the growing interest we are seeing in SlimBiome® from partners worldwide."

I know a few people who aren't too keen on the shakes - although love the bars and will be keen to try coffee, muesli and porridge etc so this is a great move by GoFigure. With Christina as MD with a background in food manufacturing, I can really see GoFigure being super successful in the future.

I suppose your lies make you interesting in your own mind.

Perhaps you can cut and paste any statement of mine that was an attempt to discredit optibiotix because saying I have done that is a lie and you had better be careful as I am not completely anonymous with my username.

risky..
to be fair you seem a decent enough guy and we just differ on one or two opinions.

Trust me..If LPLDL fulfils its promise I will be absolutely delighted and in the money

He's a fake Risky. Joined the day Adnan posted his results and has been trying to discredit LPLDL ever since then. Same MO as Mickymouse, obsessively barks on about the science not being proven etc.

Chris the abstract contains everything you really need. What information is it that appears to be missing? The results were officially published at probiota 2017. I gave you the link? Completely different market to Pharma. Costs are much greater, risk is much greater and the length of time it takes to bring a product to market is around 3 times longer. To say you hope these companies haven't just jumped aboard the hype is an absolutely ridiculous statement. Honestly can not work out if your genuine or not. Sacco who are one of the biggest players in this space you think they're commiting their resources based on hype?Your basically saying you hope our CEO who is a microbiologist by training, worked as the director of 3M healthcare division and leading scientists in the space like Bob Rastall, glen Gibson etc are all following hype?

That sounds very interest deepockets. I never got the email. I wonder if those tablets are the start of the new ecommerce elrico mentioned the other day?

This chris chap is bordering on elrico obsessive just like mickaelmouse, every other post mentions elrico in a condescending tone. Odd for a so called investor. Im not so paranoid to say they are the same, would be at all surprised though.

Just had a generic email from Max (Gofigure) talking about new Slimbiome products (porridge pots and others), new flavours, tablets and a new national PR programme, sounds like news afoot. Looks like it has gone out to people registered on their website or who have ordered from them.

Clinical trial details are not very interesting and helpful are they?

Best like yourself to just stick to the company summary

I've just rang TATA Chemicals and SACCO, along with a few other companies. I've mentioned to them that you're going to request the full trial data from SOH and they should hold off until you've deciphered it all. Do keep us updated so I can let them know to continue on dealing with Opti, once you've given the OK! I did also mention they may have been stupid to simply jump on the bandwagon, so they apologised and said they just got carried away with all the hype and based their decisions purely by the posts on this board. So, let's park this until you come back to us with the full trial details. Thanks :)

hashertu..

All clinical trial details should be in the public domain otherwise they lack credibility.

I am sure that Optibiotix will let me have a copy as requested and I am pretty certain that trial details were originally published but maybe I have false memory on that.

If I get them and anyone is interested I will post some detail on here.

I am guessing as its not my field but I assume that for this type of product i.e. food product or supplement the degree of evidence to satisfy the authorities is pretty low judging by the claims of other products on the market.

I do hope that we are working with companies that do their due diligence and not ones who are simply going with the momentum and jumping on a hyped bandwagon.

I am very hopeful that this will turn out well but would like to see a bit more to get me to increase my modest[by the uber rich standards on here] investments.

Its a bit sad that we have to all ramp it up to get along.

I find the claims exciting and fascinating so want to learn a bit more.
