28/3/2017 07:29 | Add ‘asthma symptoms’ to the lengthening list of things gut bacteria can treat The gut microbiome, aka the trillions of little critters living inside your intestines, is one of the most fascinating health forefronts right now — because of its startling impact on just about every other system of your body. Research suggests improving the health of your gut bacteria can boost your immune system, positively influence mental health, and — according to a world-first study presented at the annual meeting of the Thoracic Society for Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) — treat asthma. “This is the first time anyone has looked at the impact of altering the gut microbiome on asthma control in humans,” said TSANZ president Professor Peter Gibson. “We’re at the tip of a new paradigm for how diet can be used to treat asthma.” | parob
28/3/2017 02:50 | who's parsnip? is he related to turnip? | e j blythe
27/3/2017 23:58 | A hobbit according to elrico. I think he has lost the plot. | pglancy
27/3/2017 23:07 | Ok I'm dim ... who on earth is Parsnip? | suzypink
27/3/2017 20:40 | Guy's, we are looking at the 111,111 trade the wrong way. If we assume (as I do) Parsnip is not a liar and his declared trade several hours to me BEFORE it showed is a BUY, it must follow MM have flushed out weak holders to fill at the price Parsnip requested the trade. It is a topic I have discussed several times, with no feedback from anyone at the time, thus conclude nobody is interested. Which is a shame, because if e all took the MM role more seriously, PI's would benefit by NOT being STOPPED OUT. Furthermore - Just on the point on the II’s. Investors will often see a few large buys of £100K+ going through. These are often II’s buying in and gradually building up a holding. As indicated previously buying large chunks on the market or matching with a seller (YSF), on a controlled trade helps them to build up a position in the absence of a placing. You will note, for example following the FY sale on March 6th there was no effect on share price. This should indicate to investors it was a controlled sale and not a market dump which typically influences share price. This is something Risky has pointed out, maybe not grasped, or like I sometime do, not make myself clear. | elrico
27/3/2017 20:13 | Good luck to parsnip. He is putting his money where his mouth is. I wish I had funds to buy more. | rafboy
27/3/2017 20:08 | Shaz - how would I know? I'm not his advisor. I wouldn't ask either. It has nothing to do with me. | elrico
27/3/2017 19:59 | Elrico, does that mean he's piling everything into Opti and not holding some back for Skin? Maybe you're not privy to this info or maybe he wants it to remain private which is fair enough, but worth me asking. | shazbo
27/3/2017 19:26 | Sorry neft, I had not seen your post. | mouse20
27/3/2017 19:24 | Do we get an RNS from Mr Parsnip now? He must be so close to breaking 3% holding. | mouse20
27/3/2017 19:19 | if that is a buy by parsnip, i'll eat my greens tonight and if it is, he will have gone through the 3 per cent threshold , so a holding RNS tomorrow, somehow, i think i'll be ok | neftanikoff
27/3/2017 18:58 | Bob - that is the point I put to Parsnip. I don't mind either way, it allowed my boys to mop up almost 5k apiece. I'm so pleased they don't care for overpriced gadgets and have an eye on the future. | elrico
27/3/2017 18:54 | Well done Mr Parsnip :) | judijudi
27/3/2017 18:48 | Well done to him. Although he could be part responsible for the sharp drop. | bobdown2
27/3/2017 18:46 | The trade 111,111 IS A buy BY Parsnip. I know he won't mind me declaring, he told me the precise trade size this AM. | elrico
27/3/2017 18:40 | On the plus side, a lower share price means we can squeeze more Opti shares into next year's ISA before hitting the £££ limit. Every cloud. .. | bdog51
27/3/2017 18:26 | Well again, it might be a buy, might be a sell, time given is 2.40. But these times mean little. You can't just say categorically that this deal and like are buys. It's under £100K so not really worth talking about. A disappointing day, hood tomorrow is better. | lukead
27/3/2017 18:05 | 111,111 ! David Shepherd, the cricket umpire would be jumping all over the place at that amount...... Showing my age. | luminoso
27/3/2017 17:34 | Also nice buy end of play - I'd say from recent Sacco news and skin ipo more institutions will start to come in | riskybusiness1
27/3/2017 17:33 | I'd say the spin out of ip for multiples of its initial investment is very real and significant news. Out of interest what are these numbers people expect from an rns? Royalty percentages? | riskybusiness1
27/3/2017 16:43 | Well, I'm expecting a rocket tomorrow....from my boss! | elrico
27/3/2017 16:42 | Some people really need to get a sense of humour! People are allowed to get excited you know...when you're making cash it is enjoyable and people like to verbalise that! If you don't like it then block them and just listen to the 'sensible' posters! | f3rdinand
27/3/2017 16:36 | Judi is absolutely right: all this recent (and longer term) ramping, is not in the least bit productive. What will be productive is real news i.e. an RNS with numbers that can be crunched and real value / potential valuation assigned. The price will then look after itself up or down depending on the numbers and their time scale. Best wishes - Mike | spike_1
27/3/2017 16:09 | Neil Woodford sure knows how to pick biotech. DDDD, OXP and SPHR all drastically down in the last 12 months. | branboyd1 |
