Off on a work night out and I've just Googled "how many calories in a pint"... If my mates back home in Joburg saw this I would be banished to the chilled wine brigade...:)

I would caution against expecting products on shelves on the first day of spring, or even early spring.

Why - using simple logic - no more - if the trial / test results are being published next week, it will take a finite amount of time to create the materials / packaging that reflects those results, and then to distribute the product. Unless of course it has been possible to do all this in advance underneath the radar. Advertising copy, even in magazines probably doesn't need much of a lead time providing the 'slot' has been pre-booked.

I am of course happy to be proved wrong on this occasion ;0)

Best wishes -Mike

Huge market in China too. "The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates one-third of the Chinese population have elevated cholesterol levels as western diets gain in popularity."

elrico - just wanted to pass my gratitude for posting that response on the cholesterol from SOH. It's all looking very promising. So I take it from that more than one it sounds like several different products for the cholesterol, all achieving statin like cholesterol drops without side effects. What's not to like. Only just other a month to spring and things will really hot up here...Happy days.

Kipper - from my understanding I believe we are good to go via GRAS safe supplement routes, pharma route have a higher regulatory hurdles. The pharma routes are later, but cholesterol could be the first pharma route.

SO EXCITED!
Ok, been on diet two weeks, will do official weigh in tomorrow so 14 complete days and guess what...
My favourite watch I haven't worn since Christmas is actually loose! Been biting into my wrist for several months ( probably years! ) before diet!
Awesome!
But, as of today, I've lost 5 lbs in two weeks
This product works.
Just going out now, was going to say I shall try not be tempted but, you know what, my taste buds don't even long for anything sweet and loosing the weight is such an incentive I really don't want to add the weight back on.
Will carry on and do three weeks in total, have a break for a week or so, then do another two weeks.
I'm so happy!

Thanks, Elrico, that's great information.

So we know that LP-LDL should be effective for cholesterol reduction in a product, based on statistically significant results from human trials. Do you (and anyone else) know whether there have to be formal clinical trials before products containing LP-LDL can be on the shelves? Clinical trials are expensive and time consuming and so the timing of unlocking the value in LP-LDL will depend greatly on whether or not clinical trials are necessary.

I think the makers of Pro.active and Benecol and Statins etc. should all be getting very worried!

Thanks elrico, the cardio products are my main interest and that data is extremely encouraging. Think we're definitely on a winner here. Someuwin, agree on that type of press ad for Go Figure, and definitely no point pushing harder until we get the increased distribution.

Cheers elrico.

These cardiovascular products look like they could well be blockbusters.

And they'll be on the shelves within a few months!
