02/12/2016 08:31 | Well glance it's then a case of third time lucky inasmuch as AIM share gains are exempt of capital gains tax (although as non-UK resident I know nothing of capital transfer tax relativity.) in the circumstances you describe I don't think anyone would discourage you from selling a tranche - just so that you assuredly bank an element of the fortuitous inheritance - only wait, maybe, until we see 100p Michaelmouse notwithstanding! | owenmo
02/12/2016 06:51 | I smell a rat | judijudi
01/12/2016 23:13 | Owenmo, the shares i inherited are OPTI shares. They were purchased at 23.33p. They have a value several times my yearly salary. I don't know if i should sell them or keep them. I need ramp, ramping explaining. | pglancy
01/12/2016 22:48 | Lucky you glance; firstly to have inherited quite a few shares (presupposing, of course that they're of market value!) and secondly to have found yourself, of all places on this BB. Now a piece of advice to you - which cannot remotely be taken as ramping - is that you sell some of the inherited shares forthwith and buy into OPTI with proceeds. Taking everything into account there is more than a reasonable chance that in say 9 months' time you'll thank your icky stars that drew you this way. You can, I propose, engage with an element of AIM stock with inherited money. Some of us think it would be hard to find a more compelling story - without, needless to say, a crystal ball. Go for it! | owenmo
01/12/2016 22:41 | Ramp? Elevate? OK so Michael mouse, mouse 20, elrico, parob and the boss of the board, someuwin. Thank you mazzstar. | pglancy
01/12/2016 22:20 | The only worthy poster on here who doesn't try ramp at every opportunity is someuwin. And mouse20 is worth following for his detective work. | mazzstar
01/12/2016 21:57 | Wow that was quick Judi. I've added elrico an parob. Is the other michaele mouse? | pglancy
01/12/2016 21:44 | Off the top of my head Elrico Mouse Parob | judijudi
01/12/2016 21:42 | At the risk of looking foolish. Can i ask which posters here are worth reading. I am new investor and new to this site. I have been left with quite a few shares in a will. I have never owned shares before. Google landed me here. Sorry for being so ignorant i have much to learn and need to learn fast to avoid mistakes. Thank you. | pglancy

01/12/2016 15:15 | Even more completely O/T Ha! What an anal lot;¬) Elrico, I too transferred my vinyl to tape - hence the Nakamichi to replace an old Tandberg reel to reel. Now I play the vinyl. Pity my hearing isn't up to snuff! And, Spike, I've got the Sinclair somewhere, complete in its tatty white plastic case. Was it £80!? Blimey. Happy days. I'll shut up now. M | marnewton
01/12/2016 14:21 | Completely O/T...Blue Prism (PRSM) going well since IPO earlier this year... | someuwin
01/12/2016 12:54 | In January I sold an Elvis LP for £2K, cover was mint. My kids got all excited because I found 82 lp singles in loft, suggested my gouty foot might be a tumour!!! A dry humour that boy of mine has... | 1bokke
01/12/2016 12:19 | Confession: I still have my Betamax (F1)too, and yes - the 3 head Nakamichi, and yes all my vinyl. I also have what I believe to be the World's first ever electronic pocket calculator, it cost £80! and was made not in Japan, or Korea, or the USA, but by our very own Sinclair. (HP had already bought out a scientific one, but not for the man in the street). Eh, them was the days. | spike_1
01/12/2016 12:07 | I still have 8 track tapes in the loft - over 3000 vinyl...all mint because always transferred to tape. I'm waiting for Ozzy to pop his clogs and get another valuation on a one-off signed double white label album. Don't mean that Ozzy...you keep rockin' fella. | elrico

01/12/2016 11:26 | Thing is the Nestle products still contains sugar. | john henry
01/12/2016 11:14 | Marne, it's sad that we both remember betamax!! Looking at the article it looks as though Nestle's approach is simply sugar manipulation to reduce calories, whereas Opti have stated that our product has the ability to provide additional health benefits in addition to calorie reduction through combined applications with our other IP. Imagine if you could market chocolate as being the healthy choice in snacks??? | 1bokke
01/12/2016 10:17 | Saw that on BBC Breakfast this morning. As long as ours isn't the Betamax solution to their VHS!¬) M | marnewton
01/12/2016 09:47 | Very interesting article and should prompt other mn's to find a novel natural sugar that helps with reducing calorie intake.http://www.ny | 1bokke |
