IMHO there is a background buyer, WINS on the bid early doors. 10k sells were taken without to much fallback.

Once opti's first cardio products are launched, the company will really start to get noticed. I'm actually expecting a media frenzy especially with all the bad press associated with statins. Our products are natural. It's just a matter of time IMO.

I see SOH has commented on the Telegraph article I posted at the weekend: http://www.directorstalk.com/study-statins-fundamentally-flawed-optibiotix-health-ceo-comments/Study on statins was 'fundamentally flawed', Optibiotix Health CEO commentsOptibiotix Health Plc (LON:OPTI) CEO Stephen OHara today spoke about an article published in the telegraph. The article refers to a major Lancet study which backed the safety of statins where according to a group of medics underestimated the side-effects and said the study was 'fundamentally flawed.'Stephen OHara, OptiBiotix Health Plc CEO said: 'This article reflects a growing concern over the side affects from statins. This can lead to high level of non compliance with some studies showing this to be a high as 40% after 2 years. Whilst many users will benefit from statins concerns over side affects and compliance means there is a growing gap between patient's requirements and clinical practice, with the limitations of current approaches increasing interest in alternative treatment options. OptiBiotix products work by different mechanism of action to statins and will provide a range of cardiovascular products to reduce both LDL cholesterol and blood pressure, two factors known to increase cardiovascular risk. These products have the potential to provide a safe alternative or supplement to existing options to reduce cardiovascular risk'.

There is a new 2 minute video on YouTube on Opti posted today by 'why invest in'.
Not very exciting, but more coverage.

What a time to bring a a natural cholesterol reducing food/supplement to market? Competition weakening whilst our 0.1g dose has shown in clinicals brilliant results. Up the dose to say a 1g 10x the effect? A bit optimistic but possible. Optibiotixs optibiotic platform has just produced a sugar that increases the cholesterol reducing effect theeefold of the probiotic strain. In the future we'll see an 'optibiotic' as a probiotic prebiotic combination. This probiotic in its current form is as good as any other on the market but there most definitely is 'more to come' further down the line which has genuine potential to destroy the statin market.

I understated the Pfizer expansion budget that has been cancelled. It was Euro 400m.

Thanks Parob; No scientific evidence supporting statins. And news to-day from these parts:"Pfizer cancels E400,000 expansion of its Dublin plant following failure of key cholesterol-lowering drug." More grist to the mill.

Parob, couldn't agree more. Opti are at the forefront and Gofigure, which does work, gives me greater confidence for the future. I think the next 6 months will see a significant re-rate for the shares.

"'No scientific evidence' for the use of statins, experts claim"

"Lancet study on statins was 'fundamentally flawed', critics say"

"The Great Cholesterol & Statin Con"

Stacks of negative coverage this week on the use of statins, both print and broadcast - and I'm sure it will continue next year too. Looks like our cardiovascular products will be hitting the shelves at just the right time. And all backed up by science, patents and publications.

The Cleveland Clinic recently unveiled that it believes the Microbiome will be the top medical innovation most likely to be a game changer in 2017. I remember Elrico once mentioning that this new science will be the new bubble for investors to be in and I couldn't agree more.

I'm expecting fireworks for OPTI next year. As the Microbiome becomes more and more mainstream it is better to be invested before the herds arrive - and they will. We are so ahead of the curve.

The rapid increase in publications and patents is an unmissable sign this space will ignite very soon. A scientific tipping point in the way we treat, manage and prevent disease. A shift away from pharmaceutical products with adverse side effects, but gaining the same health benefits. If it is png i used the align lawsuit comment above as an example as to why they may want to slow things down. Align is awful, old school probiotics that 'may' have a health benefit compared to what opti is producing. It includes a number of strains with variable clinical data and most importantly no understanding of its mechanism of action. The next generation of probiotics are on their way.

That Align product was launched in 2009, so let's hope OPTI has products that tick
the appropriate box that Proctor and Gamble are looking for...
