So are we thinking these 6 companies are just our usual suspects as listed as commercial agreements already on optis website (i.e ksf, nizo, dsm, csl, manchester uni, and an unnamed US consumer goods co) and just maybe further along the track, or is this in addition to them or involve new companies.
I for one can't wait for all this cloak and dagger stuff to be lifted so we can make better informed opinions of where OPTI are as a company.

Mazz - with respect, DO some research on the commercial partners - if you did you would realise the smallest partner is the owner of slimfast and even they operate in several countries, but have the rights to the EU & UK. 5 of them are multi $bl companies leading their fields of expertise.

There are many issues to consider here. Firstly, the PR machine constantly tries to pump the share price and put a positive spin on whatever comes out of the company. It suggests a desperate attempt to keep the share price propped up.

The facts are these. Despite endless promises they have signed NO COMMERCIAL DEALS. Even if they do then the terms are unlikely to live up to investor expectations. Think Nanoco and DOW Chemical and endless other examples.

I've said time and again that's why they team up with tiny outfits like "the Healthy Weight Loss Company" or whatever they're called.

Meaningful revenues are years away, never mind profits and cash flows. Placings will be the theme in the short to medium term.

Today's news just confirmed what we already knew. Well some of us anyway. They have signed NO COMMERCIAL DEALS.

in theory, nearer commercial deals should mean share price starts moving towards previous higher levels in anticipation etc....let's see...rumours before got OPTI to over 90p, but no evidence of that, now there is evidence....well DYOR

Yesterday I said it doesn't take a genius to read the 26/10 RNS to realise no deals have yet to be signed and now we have confirmation. Some may like to call that a "growing murmur" when it is now clearly a fact!

raf - just to provide some balance (without spectacles rose tinted or otherwise): one might equally say that despite ongoing discussions with 6 companies for a commercial deal, some ongoing for many months, OPTI has still not been able to close a commercial deal.

Elrico, you say we're now in discussion with "6 MNS" - this is incorrect! Read the RNS again, it says "six commercial partners" which could include small retailers, distribution companies, etc.

Late stage discussions with 6 commercial partners. There must be a great deal of interest in our products. What are the chances of all these talks collapsing? I would suggest fairly small so we should see deals early next year. From an investment point of view Opti just got a whole lot better IMHO.

More front then Brighton - only you would be stupid enough to bash OPTI when your favorite two shares are tanked and tanking. TRAKM8 almost 40% down this week. AVN 270p now 25p. You is the man for sure. No wonder you are losing ADVFN followers.

it takes time to nail these things, 6 commercial partners sounds encouraging and late stage, so market IMO will assume news one way or another within the next 3 months or so....that is my opinion and one can make trading decisions on that. do yo think they will be successful, with whom and how credible and what value will it bring to OPTI....market likes it IMO this morning but reaction muted so far....

There were growing murmurs OPTI was going it alone yesterday, as I said previously, I doubt this will be the case. I truly believe a deal has been done for the cardiovascular product...Think about the logistics of this - we must be quite some way down the track with the cardiovascular products for SOH to stick his head on the block with an expectation of a spring product launch with so little wriggle-room. Given the unrest in 2016 he would be very foolish and naive to get investors hopes up of product launches at this stage.

Today's RNs makes it quite clear we are still in talks with 6 MN's. There is only one that has not been officially named, which is P&G if TW is correct - he has named P&G to my knowledge. Is P&G the one opting for the pharmaceutical route to market? It's still out there to my mind.

Reality check!
For all those who think they know more than others here (and some are adamant), NO COMMERCIAL DEALS have yet been done - OK!

SOH has said it in black and white:

OptiBiotix reports that it has reached late stage commercial discussions with six commercial partners across its technology and product platforms

Whilst OptiBiotix cannot guarantee that all discussions will lead to commercial deals .... etc

If you look at this from the perspective of the multi-nationals then you can understand the time being taken. This is a brand new area of science that -outside of the science experts- is not very well understood by the big corporates. Our trials were extremely promising, but they will have needed to do their own trials on a larger scale to confirm the results we have achieved.

We've been told they are now in the final stages...how long this will be is anyone's guess. A few months yet I would guess- otherwise why RNS today?

2017 will be our year...every RNS makes me more confident that this company will become a monster! GLA
