14/11/2017 22:07 | Parob - I believe the new deal with SACCO encompasses more in depth human studies for LP-LDL at no cost to OPTI, so yes, you are correct. So far we have CII for SlimBiome stateside, we have yet to learn who SACCO were intending to bring to the table for the dairy products containing LP-LDL. SACCO had already had approaches from US clients ahead of the SSW exhibition. I would venture New Year and we may well get our first indicator of the importance of LP-LDL will be stateside. I say New Year because it is very likely OPTI will partner with much larger clients than currently and we know these take longer to conclude. Currently, TATA is the biggest commercial partner for either LP-LDL and SlimBiome, with a multinational reach with existing products - has TATA already gazumped in terms of size of partner? Until we know which white label brands CII and Knighton will supply we won't know for sure. It is not unreasonable to think in terms of Kellogg's, General Mills in terms of SlimBiome inside on the breakfast tables, and Costa Coffee or Starbucks coffee houses. | elrico
14/11/2017 20:39 | Elrico, The news today has added another 30 million potential US customers. At the new cutoff, around 46 percent, or more than 103 million, of American adults are considered to have high blood pressure, compared with an estimated 72 million under the previous guidelines in place since 2003. People in 40s most affectedOnce considered mainly a disorder among people 50 and older, the new guidelines are expected to lead to a surge of people in their 40s with high blood pressure."The prevalence of high blood pressure is expected to triple among men under age 45, and double among women under 45," according to the report.I liked this quote from Paul Whelton, the lead author of the new US guidelines:A diagnosis of the new high blood pressure does not necessarily mean a person needs to take medication, but that "it's a yellow light that you need to be lowering your blood pressure, mainly with NON-DRUG approaches," We have the perfect product!!!Am I right in thinking OPTI will be conducting more human studies to further optimise blood pressure reduction? Exciting times ahead. | parob
14/11/2017 20:20 | I must admit I wasn’t that bothered initially about slimbiome, it was the sugar that really got me But I to say I have 100% changed my mind | judijudi
14/11/2017 19:35 | Elrico, thanks for the early paired trades explanation. It makes sense now its explained. | pglancy
14/11/2017 19:27 | Parob - as usual, outstanding eye for research and the new push for bringing hypertension under control stateside. This has enormous potential above and beyond cholesterol reduction and is proving a clear differentiator from other products because LP-LDL products reduce cholesterol and blood pressure...there is NOTHING GLOBALLY that has the same magic bullet as OPTI's LP-LDL has to offer. This is pure gold - we know there's gold in them hills, we just need to roll up the excavators. | elrico
14/11/2017 19:07 | All it's going to take is a decent % move north coupled with a chart breakout for the masses to take a look and see exactly what we have developing here. Then whoosh! Don't think we have long to go until that moment. | parob
14/11/2017 17:59 | The US market wouldn't be able to get enough of this company. I do understand why the price has stagnated a bit as it did get ahead of itself but the last few Rns have changed the momentum in my eyes. I've said a few times when the hoards catch on this could be a very fast growth story so the risk is getting in a tad too early or risk a scramble for a decent position when the big supply agreements drop. 14/11/2017 17:45 | we may soon find ourselves in a similar situation to IQE. They have risen from ~25p to ~£1.75 over the year. Some say the driving force behind the share price rise is US funds buying. Now with microbiome getting some serious coverage in the US I would guess that savvy investors will be looking at the leaders in that space. Lately we have seen some slightly bigger trades than normal and more of them,. Perhaps the US effect is starting to take place with Opti. Just a theory, but one I feel hold some water. A listing on Nasdaq is a must and will quickly unlock value SOH are you taking note :-) | zebbo
14/11/2017 17:08 | A diagnosis of the new high blood pressure does not necessarily mean a person needs to take medication, but that "it's a yellow light that you need to be lowering your blood pressure, mainly with non-drug approaches," said Paul Whelton, lead author of the guidelines published in the American Heart Association journal, Hypertension, and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. | parob
14/11/2017 17:05 | Here's the story in The Telegraph: | parob
14/11/2017 17:02 | ODR, it’s big news in the USA today – just google - blood pressure USA - and its being covered on all the major new channels – here are a couple of examples: More than 103 million Americans will have high blood pressure under new guidelines Nearly half of U.S. adults have high blood pressure under new guidelines Perfect timing as OPTI enters the US market. I’m sure our partners will be piggybacking this news story! | parob

14/11/2017 15:19 | 80s at Xmas, over a pound in the summer? DIAMOND | diamond fibre
14/11/2017 14:35 | 2 were delayed, 1 shown up at the time. massively overweight here but as zebbo has said it could multi bag in the coming months. my own conspiracy theory is we are being rangebound to load someone up as anytime me or any of my friends have tried to add more than say 20k shares the mm are reluctant to fill it within the spread. had to break my buy into 3 and even then paid over the offer for 2 of them. don't shoot me down its just my thoughts but I would be surprised if we don't get a holding rns soon. | shrewdmole |
