13/11/2017 15:45 | I only thing I do find pathetic is traders moaning about the lack of movement in the share price | loungeact
13/11/2017 15:44 | Sorry for mixing you up Shazbo. I have edited my mistake. Personally, I have never criticized anyone for their investment strategy. The goal is to pit your wits which Mr Market and and hope to make money - that is not an easy task no matter the talent or skillset. Good luck to the day traders, I have no problem with them at all. I trade myself, but never frequently. It has become rarer these days. Had it not been for the traders I would have fewer shares in OPTI and SBTX, so I'm very grateful for the opportunity for my longer term strategy, because if truth be known, I'm not so good at trading and never claimed to be. | elrico
13/11/2017 15:35 | At least this debate has brought out the traders haha! | primal123
13/11/2017 15:24 | I can't see how traders will be on the "wrong side" unless people are expecting OPTI to go down; which posters don't appear to be. Unless some traders are shorting; which I don't imagine they are. I do agree traders may not maximise profits on OPTI, if they were to be caught out by any large spike up. | m4rtinu
13/11/2017 14:55 | course nimrod has done better than lth here over 2 years if his timing was on also i have a few trak , el dont like them and they have gone balistic both opti and trak were the same not long ago now, trak has gone from 80- to 135 and making profits whilst me opti have dun nufin | fathenry
13/11/2017 14:44 | Shazbo - what we are trying to say is that long term holders will always make more money. Traders will be on the wrong side sooner or later, yes you can talk about Opti being range bound for 2 years but in the long term the LTH will make more money! | primal123
13/11/2017 14:42 | I mean, each to their own. It's up to people what they do with their money. If some are smart enough to trade and make lots of profit, good for them. But I think there's some traders out there, trading small amounts, walking away with tiny profits, that perhaps would benefit more from playing a longer term game. IMO :) | loungeact
13/11/2017 14:37 | Elrico, you're getting me and nimrod mixed up. I've never held SBTX and don't trade (no time, skill, balls for it). I'm a long term holder of Opti and a true believer but I honestly thought I was missing something as many have been critical on here of traders making money and somehow 'missing out'. I just didn't get the criticism of someone actually making money, and I didn't get the 'missing out' part and to be truthful I still don't! | shazbo
13/11/2017 14:23 | It not a fear, it's more of an observation traders will almost certainly lose rights. The fact is, some peeps like to think they're good trades, much the same way I think I'm Warren Buffett ;) The fact is, for those of us that have been happy to accumulate over time will most likely have made the more substantial gains....assuming LTH don't sell too early and there lays another key objective. When is x profit enough and the fear of missing out on the next share set to make us a millionaire. Most investors don't have the courage to hold for years. Traders have their own rules. Nimrod (edit), you confessed to selling SBTX most like because you actioned a stop, fine, you manage your money how you see fit, but in time you will like so many OPTI traders will realise a tactical error that cost money. IMHO - OPTI investors have nothing to fear but fear itself....there's a song in there somewhere. ;) | elrico
13/11/2017 14:02 | Louncheact - It is my understanding OPTI plan to have their own e-commerce site dedicated to their own branded products ImmunBiome, WellBiome, OptiBiome and CardioBiome, among others. SOH believe these should represent 10-12% of sales revenues for the group. Not insignificant because these will be at MUCH HIGHER margins - ie. no wholesaler costs because these are now yours. | elrico
13/11/2017 13:45 | What date RNS or statement indicated the free shares, which I often read/referred to on here. | nimrod22
13/11/2017 13:33 | Thanks for being honest nimrod. I think if you did some research into the company and see what they are doing you would be bothered. Long term holders here will benefit greatly! Each to their own though! | primal123
13/11/2017 13:24 | I did have some shares in SBTX, but sold them when they started to fall. I never could find the statement/RNS from OPTI that they would give free shares in SBTX if you held OPTI shares (maybe I din't try hard enough, just assumed that as OPTI holder we owned a large part of SBTX), though I'm not losing sleep about it. | nimrod22
13/11/2017 13:17 | ODR - we should ask Nimrod as he's a trader and has traded Opti. Nimrod are you able to give us your thoughts? Are u not bothered about owning shares in SBTX or sweetbiotix? | primal123
13/11/2017 13:04 | that's a well beaten path nimrod. | onedayrodders
13/11/2017 13:03 | Are traders actually bothered about missing out ? do they even know that corporate action is even on the radar ? Strikes me OPTI and AIM in general is dominated these days by traders who are just looking at technicals, scalping 3-5% here and there and couldn't give a flying pheasant about or have even heard of Skinbiotix. And if they had they are only looking to exploit the buying for that. | onedayrodders
13/11/2017 13:00 | There's been lots of good news, but for whatever reason the share price doesn't appear to shift substantially, maybe when some real earnings are shown, rather than potential earnings. Hey who knows. | nimrod22
13/11/2017 12:52 | Nimrod - this is the reason traders will get caught out as eventually as Elrico has said they will be on the wrong side, long term investors make more money! Anyway I hope they get caught out. | primal123
13/11/2017 12:47 | A small amount £1,405, but a profit none the less. The small amounts add up whereas holding for two years would not have done anything for me. | nimrod22
13/11/2017 12:35 | I'm curious: Are products like 'ImmunBiome, WellBiome, OptiBiome® and CardioBiome®' going to have their own separate revenue streams and be marketed in the same manner as Slimbiome - products in their own right? I feel like SOH has't really spoken much about these, including the science behind them. Unless i've missed it? | loungeact
13/11/2017 12:31 | Fingers crossed they've missed out on Sweetbiotix and SkinBiotix shares :D | loungeact
13/11/2017 12:30 | Elrico - exactly why would you invest 28k to make 1k, if you researched the company you should know what's coming! Anyway each to their own!!! | primal123
13/11/2017 12:26 | Lounge - the price didn't even go up to 77, highest today was 75.5! But I have to agree why anyone would sell right now. Also they will lose their chance of owning shares in SBTX. Think it's crazy! I can't wait for the day these traders get caught out! Lol | primal123
13/11/2017 12:19 | JJ - There are peeps trading for sure. If we use the 40129 as an example and assume it is the same peep that brought about a week ago (will check trades later) I think the trader has made 3p between bid & offer which yields c£1200 profit...seems to me c£28k exposure for little gain makes no sense - short sighted and likely to be on the wrong end of a trade at some point and loses SBTX and SweetBiotix rights, so in reality, a lot of work for no material gain. That said, until we get info on SBTX & SweetBiotix it is all hypothetical and some peeps don't care about hypotheticals. The range has certainly tightened, so must the opportunity to trade. Slarty - Von Hertzen Bro's were brilliant at HRH. Thanks for the heads up because I would have missed them. | elrico |
