10/3/2015 14:42 | Been the biggest sustained rise for a very long time - good opportunity to have sold and repurchased. So unless you know they have another good RNS in the offing selling this am will net you 30-40% more shares than you had before. Simples. | stud-muffin
10/3/2015 14:32 | You are right Steve about the irrational and uninformed excitement displayed by many posters when these annual orders are announced but I disagree with you that it will enable the company to operate for a month (Iam guesstimating that losses will be greater than for last year) at a profit. Optare has never made a profit - it won't this financial year which ends in three weeks and I will make a prediction that it will not in the next financial year. No DD orders yet and interest costs rising every day - the net profit on this entire order will not be sufficient to pay the interest on company debt for a year. I do hope as written before that not too many PIs who do not read company accounts will lose money being 'sucked in' by the current hype. | jsbach123
10/3/2015 13:46 | I think you meant to post on another board or was that just a bit of ramping? | stud-muffin
10/3/2015 13:04 | Lol spellchecker, I meant Optare :-))) | apfindley
10/3/2015 13:03 | Nice movement here on Opiate on a few million worth of business.Wonder how much OXS will rise when they win their arbitration for $500m to $1.2bill in cash settlement. | apfindley
10/3/2015 12:14 | The order is for 65 Solos. Nice order, but everyone gets excited when these once a year orders are announced ... This is a good base line, but the company needs to move forward from here which it has failed to do so in previous years. If you can bank a profit ... might be wise to take it is my view ... But as always advised DYOR. Reality is this order will enable the company to operate at a profit for 1 month out of 12. | steve517499
10/3/2015 11:36 | market makers all over you lol | datait
10/3/2015 10:43 | 40p LOL But maybe higher - it has not found a high base like this for a very long time. Has something bigger leaked? Otherwise its going to fall back - no position here, hope it brings some relief to LTH's. | stud-muffin
10/3/2015 10:39 | breakout even higher 40p soon. | datait
10/3/2015 09:32 | Nothing on Stagecoach's website about it. Presumably some of the bus journals will add some detail soon. | m.t.glass
10/3/2015 09:11 | Ok, so must be more than 6 :) thought 6 after quick reading. However this does not judge 90% increase in the company value. 7.3m revenue to be created is good, but this is not a net profit. | marmar80
10/3/2015 09:09 | LONDON (Alliance News) - Optare PLC saw its shares hit an 11-month high early Tuesday as it got a GBP7.3 million order for its Solo single-decker buses from Stagecoach Group PLC in the UK. In a statement, the bus maker said it expects to deliver the Solos with Euro 6 emissions standards by the end of this year, although it didn't say how many. It said the order is in addition to five fully electric vehicles that it will deliver this month. "We are delighted to be supplying more Optare vehicles to Stagecoach. In line with the Stagecoach greener, smarter, travel strategy these Solos will be the first Euro 6 vehicles Optare have supplied to Stagecoach," Optare Chief Executive Enrico Vassallo said in a statement. Optare shares were up 87.6% at 0.310 pence early Tuesday, making it the best-performing stock on the AIM All-Share index on the day. By Steve McGrath; stevemcgrath@allianc | m.t.glass
10/3/2015 09:09 | On the basis that the leccy ones are £300k that £1.5m of the £7m, then the balance divided by say £140k (assumes mix of Solos and who knows what gives us a total bus number of around 45 units. Not too shabby but a far cry from the old days of 100 plus. | stud-muffin
10/3/2015 09:07 | Good luck all. see u | bad robot

10/3/2015 09:03 | The order is for Euro 6 buses, not 6 buses! | kimoldfield
10/3/2015 08:56 | Buying now is a hardcore. 6 buses, what sort of profit is this all about? | marmar80
10/3/2015 08:55 | Nice bus you've bought skinny!😀 I'm still waiting for confirmation of the order for the first 100 Metrodeckers JSB.😊 | kimoldfield
10/3/2015 08:45 | Not sure it can only be 6 buses - £7m should be 35-40 odd? | stud-muffin
10/3/2015 08:41 | Like most long term holders (sufferers) here, it is hard to get too enthusiastic about an order for 6 buses - but we can but hope - decent volume! | skinny
10/3/2015 08:40 | To tiny order to cover 78% increase.Back to my Oxus Gold and waiting for big yes or no.. | marmar80
10/3/2015 08:36 | Credit to all holders on here who did not sell early. I have never seen a rise like this and I have seen a good few with OPE over the years. | stud-muffin
10/3/2015 08:35 | o/t heads up. AFC just announced a contract worth $1billion vs £25m market cap. … Todays multi multibagger!! | enviropaul
