Stegrego

ref. selling out a few weeks back
So what?
Nobody can be sure what the market will do...some decisions come right, some don't.
The thing to do is not to take it personally but to move on...and that sometimes means buying back into a share at a higher price than you recently sold out at.

I fortunately did this with Sola....stopped out and then expansion rns ...bought back in and then watched it fly.

No telling whether it will be a similar story here if you were to buy in.
I know what I think but as ever, it's your money and not mine...so you make your own decision.

Don't beat yourself up about it!

Hope all goes well.

Hmmmm, Kauto...I'm not so sure, esepcially after you strip out the massive one-time JV contribution. Seems to me that the PE is then fairly unattractive...at 89p to buy! There are also significant US$ translation costs to take on board for the current period too. I'm a long-term holder but the share price movemetns are huge in comparision to the very limtied number of trades. What goes up must come (a little?) back down?. I'd prefer a gently, gently movement rather than what seems to be becoming hype-led hysteria...all IMHO, obviously! :-)

I think you´re getting 3dcd confused with Genuone. 3dcd is a way of putting holograms into cd´s/dvd´s to show that they´re genuine.

The exceptional performance from 3dcd in the last half year was due to the launch of Microsoft Vista which uses the system.

Or somebody correct me if i´m wrong.

New to catch onto this one, but this looks very, very juicy. In long - this is worth 100p per share.

that clever bit of software (3dcd) they have for finding suppliers of counterfeit goods fits nicely into their business & could prove to be very profitable within itself as well as (and maybe more importantly) opening many new doors of large companies.

All they need is one goverment contract to develop & supply a security hologram or device for their passports and OSG will be flying!!
Apparently according to panorama the other night counterfeited passports are still fairly easy to come by.
might be getting a little ahead of myself here but it I were a sales guy in their business I know who I'd be busy ringing!

Anticipation is positive but then again based on recent reports etc
I would agree, my target for now is 95p

From Investors Chronicle today........

Tips:
*Buy - Allied Irish Bank (ALBK.L), Morgan Sindall (MGNS.L), TravelZest (TVZ.L) and Opsec Security (OSG.L).
*Sell - Chemring (CHG.L) and Highland Gold (HGM.L).

Looks like I sold out too early in the low 60´s. I must agree with those who think it´s got a bit ahead of itself though. Without 3dcd´s contribution the company performed well and still looks like it could turn in an operating profit of 4m (excluding 3dcd) for the year.

The current price looks fair to me, if a bit high, they´re capitalised at over 40m.

I agree we need to see what the 2nd half looks like with a normal Jv contribution and on what is out there it is plenty high enough. I did see a lot of positives in the statement to feel that the 2nd half non jv eps will be a good deal higher than 1st half.

Also as you say the option scheme needs eps growth of 25% - given this will be against a year with the jv one off they must be confident.

One thing I would say is that there could be consolidation in the marketplace.

Yes, a VERY positive trading statement...HOWEVER one where a one-off joint-venture contribution made the real difference to performance. This will NOT be repeated. OSG is certainly a very nice medium-long term hold (which is what I am in for, big time) but IMHO has become expensive in the short term following all the recent media converage. I'm a 'long-term hold', but I really can't see this being a 'buy' at the levels we are seeing today. So, be prepared for a short-term retrenchment to a sustainable share price level backed by forward earnings (without the JV bluebird which has just been reported)....currently 65p-70p IMHO. Paul, I can't see what more good news they are going to/can possibly bring out...though, granted, the current 'hot issue' of brand protection and anti-counterfeiting technologies, along with the added media interest, may keep the price at levels above the raw prospective earnings-backed levels.

On the very positive level, the directors (and staff) have secured an extremely attractive and valuable options deal linked to healthy company growth over the next 3 years ...this will surely be in the front of the Board's mind in driving the business forward in the future....which is great for medium/long-term holders. Expect more acquistions in the US to help drive growth....

Anyway, good luck to all holders (especially the long-termers!)
