21/3/2007 20:43 | Agree with Dead Cat Bouncer in that 'profits significantly ahead of expectations' is now the worse case scenario. Non-recurring 3dcd represented around 14% of t/o and looks like this will be more than made up with current trading at record levels. Assuming just a repeat of first half gives full year eps 8.6 bringing down p/e to around 11- way too low for a company growing at current rate. Edit 3/4/07 - on re-read of interims notice I mis-read 3dcd gop as t/o so 3dcd contributed 2.23m of 2.82 gop for 1st half so above post incorrect. It remains to be seen if Ospec can continue to generate this profit level after non-recurring 3dcd income dries up. RM | rampmeister
21/3/2007 12:41 | is that 73,900 trade from this morning a buy or a sell? | keane16
21/3/2007 10:24 | If they are going to do at least as well as the statement on 23 Jan 07 then they will be still "significantly ahead of current market expectations"; at least implies that they are likely to do even better than that, with just two months more trading under their belt. When the market perks up again in 3-9months time, there are going to be one of the market leaders - they are in the right place at the right time. The other good thing is that the market doldrums will give them time to get their results out and have further statements about exceeding expectations. The key is that they are now in a market where they have a fantastic product (GenuOne) which is seen as a necessity and not something which will be ditched in the recession. | dead-cat bouncer
21/3/2007 07:45 | The trading update was fairly recent - so this looks pretty satisfactory to me. Reckon it would be surprising to see much change since then. | broadwood
21/3/2007 07:39 | Opsec Security Trading Statement RNS Number:3675T Opsec Security Group PLC 21 March 2007 21st March 2007 OpSec Security Group plc Pre closing trading update Prior to entering its close period for the year ending 31st March 2007 OpSec Security Group plc, the supplier of high quality anti-counterfeiting technologies and services, released today the following pre closing trading update. The Board is pleased to confirm that the Company's core operations will all perform at record levels this year. This, coupled with an exceptional contribution from its 3dcd joint venture, which, as previously highlighted, is largely one-off in nature, leads the Board to believe that results for the current financial year will at least meet the improved expectations referred to in the Company's last trading update of 23rd January 2007. The Company remains actively engaged in a number of discussions with potential acquisitions and expects to make further announcements on this area in due course. - ends - "will at least meet the improved expectations"....... | noshy

23/2/2007 08:18 | It is because 2007 includes a large one off contribution from their JV that supplies product to Microsoft - which I guess has been for the Vista launch. I feel that 2008 will be significantly upgraded when we see the final 2007 numbers But at 1.00p these are no longer obviously a steal | harrogate
