For the benefit of investors in OPG, who might have concerns over the floods in Gujarat state affecting the two 150MW power plants there; I have been assured by an irrefutably reliable source, that both plants are totally unaffected.

Why was it interesting Flowerhead? It's £46k's worth of shares, so what! Enlighten us as to its "interest"?

Can only be a matter of time before we see a big correction here, this current year OPG are on a p/e of 6, far too cheap.

I feel this has been held back, because of the poor performance of other Indian stocks, especially MPL. Which have tarnished the good name of other Indian stocks, like OPG.

With circa 6 weeks before the Prelims are announced, Its only a matter of time before buyers move in to lift the share price above 50p. Post Prelims, analysts and financial pundits will lift it further. Hold tight.

Yes the returns from solar are cack all and as I say highlights the poor capital allocation by management. Their own equity offers far better returns, a fact utterly lost, it seems, on the board.

Summary of Cantor's note on Proactive as follows FYI...

"Solar concerns overplayed at OPG Power Ventures suggests broker
12:46 29 Jun 2017

The broker has left its estimates unchanged as it expects coal prices, the main cost for OPG, to remain flat in dollar terms.

Concerns over the drive in India towards solar power are being overplayed in the share price of coal-fired power station operator OPG Power Ventures PLC (LON:OPG).

That’s the view of house broker Cantor Fitzgerald, which says concerns that India might follow the UK and Germany and push fossil fuel to the margins are overdone and the impact on OPG’s business will be minimal.

Recent solar deals in India have suggested a deteriorating price environment in the country, but Cantor says the average solar tariff level is rupees (R)4.18/kWh though three new projects at R3.3/kWh.

The broker has assumed prices of R4.4kWh for OPG, but it sells directly to industrial customers that pay a premium and that makes it very competitive compared to solar power even at those lower prices suggests the broker.

Cantor concedes that there will be a significant amount of new solar capacity added, but demand in India is increasing in step and solar will only account for 6% of the market by 2022.

As such, the broker has left its estimates unchanged as it also expects coal prices, the main cost for OPG, to remain flat in dollar terms.

OPG’s share price has almost halved over the past 12 months, despite a maiden dividend.

There has been one persistent seller says the broker but there is now 166% upside to its target price of 124p and the rating is buy."

And....so what. There is a Cantor note out on it with the same PT as before but basically saying solar returns are sh1t. Hence why don't they buy back their own damn shares?

Azelea - nice to see you're outdoing yourself as usual - it's impossible to suss out the whole picture from reported trades - the reporting rules can be used for all sorts of opaque shenanigans by the mms to masque all sorts of goings on behind the scenes especially for aim stocks such as opgYou're wonderful conjecture is like saying 'I saw it on tv, therefore it must be true!!!'Those trades could easily have been sells from a few days ago.

Azalea are you truly for real? Your comments are absolute and complete bilge. They simply add nothing to the OPG debate. Anyhow, I'm up 20% and will continue to hold. Mindful of the Gupta discount!

India's long awaited general Service Tax(GST) is expected to be implemented 1/7/2017.

With not a seller in sight and a continuing steady flow of buyers, the Bid is going to break through the 48p mark shortly. Those sitting on the fence hoping for a dip in the share price are going to be disappointed.

Edit: 1440HRS Bid over 47p:

A 1% interest rate cut will add about 7p to the share. They've borrowed a lot of cash, so of course an interest rate cut will positively help the business.
