12/6/2017 10:22 | indeed, thanks for posts and looking healthy for 50p today iMO | qs99
12/6/2017 09:34 | There will be a few who cannot believe their eyes and cannot resist selling if only to get their money back. However, those staying in should keep reminding themselves the share price is currently circa 55% down from its high; when output and capacity was a mere fraction of what it is today. | azalea
12/6/2017 09:33 | Finally :o)) Back to 60p for starters perhaps, and then on from there.... The Shares Mag piece is summarised elsewhere as follows: "A decent one page spread on OPG this week in the Shares magazine, worth a read and very positive. Talks about city analysts being reassured OPG are back on track and the current price potentially creating an opportunity for investors. Analysts at Macquarie Capital also suggest a potential big jump in dividend payments, forecasting 1p per share payout this year to March 2018 before steeply rising to 3p in 2019 which would create an income yield of 7.1% if these increases are realised. Due to improved cash collection and renegotiated debt facilities." | rivaldo
12/6/2017 09:32 | motoring now | qs99
12/6/2017 09:04 | tried a dummy purchase and didn't allow me anything in size, so DYOR but any decent volumes and this will IMO be back through 50p in short order...GLA | qs99
12/6/2017 09:02 | well that is a decent move up, buyers returning it would seem... | qs99
12/6/2017 08:55 | Azelea,For somebody who claims to be an experienced investor the ridiculous bilge continues! | jozo
12/6/2017 08:32 | Tick tock, 130k of buys in the first half hour of the market opening with a 69k buyer in the lead and not a seller in sight. | azalea
09/6/2017 13:04 | wiiieg1` Thank you for your post, very interesting. Its now clear that the tip sheets are beginning to recognise at long last how cheap OPG is. I expect others such as Questor and Midas to repeat their previous buy reccs. As I have said before, the share price is over 50% down on its high despite capacity, output and anticipated FY div set to be over 1p. | azalea
09/6/2017 12:59 | Bit of basing interest appearing here - I suspect the debt is too high to be a big flyer - but as discussed before quite poss a valid reversion to range mean value play free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | luckymouse
09/6/2017 12:17 | also tipped in Shares magazine yesterday | willieg1
09/6/2017 10:35 | FRREEVES Thank you for IC tip. This is the second recc it has made for OPG. Looks like someone has followed up with a buy for almost 48K worth. | azalea
09/6/2017 10:05 | Tipped in the Investors Chronicle this morning | frreeves
09/6/2017 09:25 | Sellers getting their fingers singed and as we near the results, they could get burned. | azalea
08/6/2017 11:58 | Some serious buying volume this morning. | azalea
06/6/2017 13:28 | Flowerpothead, I'm no great expert on the mechanics of OPG's PPAs but I thought fuel was a cost pass through as part of the PPA? If that is so, why does that help OPG? I say this with limited knowledge and yours may be better but I do seem to remember some mechanism for fuel cost pass through. Perhaps you can enlighten! | andycapp1
06/6/2017 12:07 | Given India's Adani Enterprises move to develop what will be Australia's largest coal mine, once up and running it could embark on a price war with Indonesian coal which will further benefit OPG. | azalea
05/6/2017 23:24 | I don't know. Slater used to with Giles from Marlborough. Think Marlborough sold but couldn't be 100% sure. There might be a time to buy but it's got to be lower to take account of the Gupta discount which is significant! | andycapp1
05/6/2017 19:03 | Anyone know if Slater fund still owns these? | beangrinder
05/6/2017 18:42 | Ah well flowerpot that should sort the shares out! your insights are ever amusing. Useless but amusing! | andycapp1
05/6/2017 14:42 | Down it goes again. Still waiting for the big cross to go through before getting involved again, if I haven't die of boredom waiting. I think Andy's right, its up to the management to be pro active, buy back shares, bring down debt and don't have Mr G acting as Chairman and CEO - it just looks terrible. PS if you ie the management are writing your updates STOP, hand to a professional. If its your PR company, sack them. I'm going to e-mail this to Ajay Paliwal, if I can find his business card | smithless
04/6/2017 08:22 | "One only loses money in share trades when you sell your shares for less than you paid for them. My last 4 sells were all at a profit" Another gem from the resident Ostrich. Claims still to have made profit on this tragedy and believes she still has not lost money on her holding because she hasn't sold what is left of her holding. No doubt by the time we have the news that she has sold it will be the FIFTH time she has made a profit. Not sure whether the word delusion is adequate to describe this poster but truthfulness certainly does not enter the frame. | marvelman
04/6/2017 06:30 | Modi has set his energy minister a target of producing 1bn tons of coal by 2019. There are 18,000 villages without any electricity. | azalea
03/6/2017 12:55 | I would imagine India needs all the power it can generate - from whatever source - for many years to come. The combination of low starting point and growing economy suggest that supply is hardly likely to outstrip demand. Edit: In fact, the article says as much - "Coal-based capacities are facing competition, but we are not seeing them becoming irrelevant for some years to come and they will continue to serve the base-load demand," said P.K. Pujari, secretary at the ministry of power. “The demand for thermal power is going to increase in absolute terms.” | jeffian |
