10/12/2006 13:15 | since the trading update early Oct the biggest "retrace" has been all of 2p!! good luck on your strategy.. | dynamix
09/12/2006 19:44 | Hmmmm dunno about the adsolute bargain bit ShareDoc, IMO they are priced about right, but must admit the finals did read well. As I have said previously I was dissapointed the 2nd half of the year only produced 0.88 pence earnings and also Nick Bolton's statement :- Overall for OMG, we expect to see advances in revenue and profits from Vicon being invested in the new business opportunities during the year. While such investments may have a negative impact on short term profit growth. Hopefully I can get back in once the retrace has finished. | assegai warrior
08/12/2006 16:52 | cor blimey guvnor.. I reckon that buy has been in the system all day.. | dynamix
08/12/2006 16:28 | I totally agree sharedoc | dynamix
08/12/2006 16:03 | Even at this price its an absolute bargin, Net Assest of 10 Mill. A couple of defence contracts in 2007 could see profits swell to 4-5 Mill. Market cap of just over 26 Mill. Could easily double from here in the next 12 months | sharedoc
08/12/2006 11:39 | most definite a re rating going on on such low buying volume.. I reckon 60p might be a stalling point, plenty clear sky above this level on the long term chart | dynamix
08/12/2006 09:49 | OMG would fit nicley into QuinetiQ ? If I were them I would certainley think about buying OMG | sharedoc
07/12/2006 22:09 | Ok Possibly institutions or just some wealthly individuals! | dynamix
07/12/2006 21:10 | No Dynamix, The directors here don't buy - they sell options obtained at sub 5p levels ;0) More likely institutions building IMO. Edited header to include 3 year chart. G. | garth
07/12/2006 18:05 | some big buys reported as sells and unknown, all around the 400k mark (circa £170 - £200 grand purchases).. smells of directors now results are out the way maybe? any thoughts... | dynamix
07/12/2006 12:42 | egoi - There was one statement from the Chairman and one from the CEO. It may not affect your point (perhaps it reinforces it?), but certain comments are attributable to the Chairman. Incidentally, the Chairman talks about "Nick's focused and energetic leadership". Personally I think his style has complemented the company and helped position the company in the strong position it is in now. I bought this morning. | masrscb9
07/12/2006 12:16 | 2nd half Revenue declined 14.1% y/y. 2nd half Operating Profit declined 72.25% y/y. 2nd half EBITDA declined 20.7% y/y. | dickbush
07/12/2006 12:13 | well good luck to you, but selling as we embark into the seasonlly strongest part of the trading year for markets is madness imo.. maybe sell in january would make sense... | dynamix
07/12/2006 11:33 | I felt it was a bit rich after a trading statement two weeks ago that the company would beat expectations to find the second half eps falling and costs higher than last year, even allowing for lumpy revenues and lack of a bumper film in this half. Also while I DO like the company, its products and its chart, as well s its cash generation, I thought the CEO's posturing this morning was dreadful. There's promotion and even an element of advertising, which are fine, but some of the stuff in there is cringeing. The CEO doesn't understand how the products work ,so anything else he says becomes pinch of salt imho. Phrases like: our freshly minted Geospatial Vision business' 'I can personally guarantee that we won't be shy about telling the world what we achieve. OMG has been a quietly successful British technology company for far too long.' 'We need to think bigger.' 'ACHIEVING 'INCREDIBLE THINGS'. Well they belong on here not in a professional annual report. There's a time that would have seduced me, but no longer and the numbers don't sufficiently stack up for me. And I did note: 'It's true we face a bit more competition these days;' I believe the company will do well and the products are interesting, but I am just wary of such companies overstating potential as they have here imho, as they can become an accident waiting to happen. Good luck to holders and I mean that without prejudice, it is an exciting stock to hold, but do be wary of the potential pitfalls. I sold this morning. | egoi
07/12/2006 11:28 | Can someone explain why profits in the second half were down sharply from H1 Good question. | adam
07/12/2006 11:28 | Thanks masrscb9 - 2nd half down for all the right reasons - looks like a lot more to come from OMG. Maybe 4 pence eps for next year a reasonable expectation. RM | rampmeister
07/12/2006 11:19 | Evolution had forecast PBT of £1.8m (after the Trading Update), so an EPS of 3p could be hoped for but was not expected. Where EVO were less reserved is with the potential for the future: "There is a feeling of inevitability that its imaging software will ultimately have many satisfied (and deep-pocketed) customers in the defence and highway sectors." I'm happy to see that they are accelerating investment in R&D, which increased by £226k from H1 to H2. The lower profit in H2, on almost identical Turnover/COS to H1, is due to increased Operating Expenses, including R&D, but also Sales, Support & Marketing, and Admin Expenses. The Finals also attribute some of the increased Operating Costs to "expansion of our Los Angeles studio facilities". | masrscb9
07/12/2006 11:09 | I read somewhere ( but can't find it now )that they were investing in R&D which would temper the full year earnings. Must have been the reason the forcasted EPS was 2.2 pence However a nice set of results and can understand the buys going through. I was expecting a little more from them especially the defence side of things and also at least EPS of 3 pence. Sold my shares this morning to take a nice profit, although the share club I'm in still hold. Cheers | assegai warrior
07/12/2006 10:45 | Good point nickcduk - with 1.63 eps in first half I was hoping for full year eps of 3 minimum. Will be interested to see broker eps forecast for coming year. Judging by bullish tone of report still all to play for. RM | rampmeister
07/12/2006 10:03 | Just having a look at OMG. Can someone explain why profits in the second half were down sharply from H1. Is it a seasonal business? | nickcduk
07/12/2006 09:23 | I'm very impressed/pleased with the results and the bullish forward looking statement, looking forward to the "explosive growth". A good share to tuck away for next year. | sharedoc
07/12/2006 08:59 | reach for the stars bring on the santa rally | dynamix
07/12/2006 08:27 | "All in all, it's a great launch-pad. I believe OMG could hardly be better placed for continued success in our long established business areas, accompanied by potentially explosive growth in massive new markets." Brought a smile to my face. | masrscb9
07/12/2006 08:25 | looks good, topped up. | huntie2 |
