what do you think a bid price would look like for us PI's. Sitting on a big loss here and would like to think it recovers before being taken out?

EMGS raise $24m

Oslo, 2 December 2009: Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA ("EMGS" or the
"Company" - OSE:EMGS),

Gross proceeds amount to NOK 135 million approximately USD 24 million.

The proceeds from the Private Placement will increase the financial
strength of the Company and thereby support its growth plans and will
be used for general corporate purposes.

I wonder what would happen if EMGS made an approach for OHM ? (Current EV $5m)

They would take out their only independent competitor in CSEM.
The industry might argue it was anti-competitive.
EMGS might argue they and OHM together only constituted 0.1% of the total market for oil and gas exploration technologies if you include 2D, 3D, Wide-Azimuth etc

Perhaps there's a flaw in the AIM regulatory system (did i say that? I'll go and wash my mouth out with soap and water!) as the same company can push in two different directions. The market makers have halved the share price from a peak the day after their company's positive broker note was issued.

KBC were the advisers to the company who helped them get the placing away at a over 100% premium to the prevailing share price. The Market-makers at KBC are separated by a chinese wall and have their own job to do. I suspect they are doing that very well.

Certainly but I give little credence to the KBC note. As house broker and aptly named NOMAD, since publishing it they seem to have wandered off message, using low volume to knock the price down from 14p when they issued their note to 7.75p. Actions speak louder than words and for whatever reason they aren't walking the talk, giving the likes of nina ammunition to undermine the company. Who needs friends?

lol!!! Try and drag out on old broker note to get the dog moving so robandsons the multi handled poster can get out of the mess he's in with this. Face it robandsons, this is a dog stock which will no doubt drift down to tuppence before it plops away. Like i say this poster should come with a wealth warning as he was found out to be posting under many guises on another thread. How much of this rubbish have you gotten robbby boy? Says it all when contract news fails to lift the junk!

We have had about 200k of Buys today (not sure how many sells as a couple of 8p trades earlier I am unsure of). So it all helps.
No-one can know how big the overhang is, there was a lot of selling before the placing even, so we can only watch and wait.

The Venus B-1 well was drilled to a total depth of approximately 18,500 feet in about 5,900 feet of water and encountered more than 45 net feet of hydrocarbon pay. well thats what i mean ie no director buys so news must be present preventing them from buying...think we will either see news of director buys or options which will signify end of news in short term...but also a shift change in share price .

No big deal, overhangs seem to be in 50% of all penny stocks !

Dont mean anything is wrong, just forget about them then one day you
check and it's cleared and the price has soared.

Can directors buy with all these contracts as price sensitive news ?

lol...helps one to be patient...anyway you still think overhang present here? personally gut feeling is the seller is using todays news to sell out higher...as the last rns moved up and then continued to fall so think later in week will show if true or not...so still not buying at moment...do think diretors buys could be signal or the usual overhang finished signals that arise...your take?

I think this bit answers it, sometimes in business commercial issues mean that an element of confidentiality is required, if that means they keep attracting a significant proportion of the work in West Africa then that is good surely?
