bobby this is a slow burner type of stock with a timeline of 6 months to 12 months most here will get a decent return...i bought going up and then down...last lot was i think just on the 9p area...havent sold any and will just hold...2 directors bought earlier in year(taile end of last year) i think so i'm hoping with 2 rns out today they are no longer in closed period and some buys from them would give the right signal so patience is the game.

well it would be nice to get to the recent placing price of 21.5p and it would make seatrans feel a lot happier ,the news today should start to send us back in that direction

truth be told i had never heard of BGP before but this company is a major strategic Chinese player which is part of the Chinese state oil company Sinopec



At present, BGP has 55 land crews and 4 seismic vessels operating overseas. Forty overseas branches and offices have been established in Asia, America, Africa and the Middle East.

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has halved off its geophysical exploration operations and established BGP Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary. BGP has long been responsible for the Chinese state oil companys geophysical business.

According to observers, the separation of BGP from CNPC is a part of the giant Chinese oil companys long-term restructuring program that has been spinning off its specialized service operations into separate companies after having established the three major Chinese oil companies, PetroChina, Sinopec, and CNOOC Limited.

CNPC President Ma Fucai said, "The founding of the BGP Limited is an important step for us in executing a restructuring strategy in order to build up a more competent world-class oil group." He was speaking at the formal launching ceremony for both BGP and China Petroleum Logging, another spinoff from CNPC. "This is an indication that CNPC is optimizing its resources and assets more efficiently."

Very satisfying news, well done to the team at OHM. They have had numerous difficulties to contend with over the years and I am in no doubt they have emerged stronger for it. Well done Richard Cooper for turning the company around and as somebody said, this is just the start.
Thanks too to Robbo for dropping by on this board a few months ago when it consisted of a few comments from me and the occasional appearance of tumbleweed. Some impatient posters gave you the bird because the share price didn't immediately reach the placing price. Who knows why it traced back down to a level that didn't even value the RSI subsidiary, but then again who cares?

Well thank goodness for that. Was beginning to doubt my own sanity holding this! What on earth has been going on the last few weeks? Does a forced seller make sense? If there is overhang - this should clear it.

i'm very relaxed 21s :-p

i've been following OHM for years, met the management etc and never invested in the 100p+ region because i knew that the oil industry would be very slow at adopting this new technology stuff

but now very relaxed with oil at $80 and going higher and the major multi-decade long war over resources between India and China due to take place

nice to see China arming themselves with OHM's CSEM :-D

only 16p? I'd say when people realise that this company has a market cap of £6m with £3m+ of cash and has just done a strategic deal with China where the first contract is $2.5m then they will start to take KBC's 66p valuation quite seriously very quickly

I done the wrong move already this morning. Went for the RRR announcement and no rise, and if I had of averaged down here at 10p I no doubt would of made at least 30%.
