heavily influenced by the Real. If the outlook for that stabilises we could get back on the growth trajectory.

South American ports taxed by rapid growth in ship sizes Joseph Bonney, Senior Editor Sep 25, 2014 1:01PM EDT When Hamburg Sud’s new Cap San-class container ships call at Argentina’s Port of Buenos Aires, they present an incongruous sight: a vessel with capacity to carry 9,700 20-foot-equivalent units being worked with spindly mobile cranes instead of modern gantries. It’s a stark example of how South American ports are struggling to keep up with explosive growth in demand. The average size of ships calling on the east coast of South America has increased 140 percent since 2006, according to Drewry Maritime Research. .... .... http://www.joc.com/port-news/international-ports/south-american-ports-taxed-rapid-growth-ship-sizes_20140925.html

YTD numbers getting weaker and weaker the past few months. Although September seems to be showing more activity thus far, seems to be more ships going direct from AR BA to RG than via UY MV as happened before. Lets see if it continues Q3 numbers are currently going to be very weak indeed. LOTM

Results out. Exchange rate features heavily. Is there a point (tax?) to having a huge investment portfolio whilst carrying a fair chunk of debt ?

Posted on the APY bb ... PRODUCTION ANTICIPATED SHORTLY AT MARACAS VANADIUM PROJECT July 09, 2014 Final construction CAPEX US $241 million vs US $235 estimated in PEA Symbol: LGO (TSX.V) TORONTO, July 09, 2014 /CNW/ - Largo Resources Ltd. ("Largo" or the "Company") reports that feed to the kiln at the Company's Maracas Vanadium Project has been ongoing, however, certain minor technical adjustments at various areas of the plant have required intermittent interruptions to operations. Mining of ore, the crushing system and the milling and beneficiation plant are all operational and over 10,000 tonnes of vanadium concentrate have now been stockpiled to feed to the kiln. The kiln system has required several adjustments, mostly mechanical in nature, relating to the feed system, electrostatic precipitator (dust collection system) and burner management system which have required short-term breaks in the feed of material. Largo is pleased to report that despite these temporary feed disruptions, material has been successfully processed through the kiln during its operating time and has been building up and retained in the leaching system over the past weeks with approximately 3,000 tonnes of iron ore by-product having now also been stockpiled. .... .... http://tinyurl.com/n8t2jqv For those who follow Ocean Wilsons (OCN), you will be pleased to know that the ores will be shipped through Tecon Salvador, Bahia.
