i think results should be in line with expectation (fall below 500p was market worrying in the early August pressimism that it would warn)...however if they start talking about a good pipeline of business/deals then this should get back over 600p...especially if the market can keep going as it is clearly a geared play

yes, me too. Bought into Numis a couple of times over the summer, at just below £5 and looking forward to a rise as we go towards the results.

These results look very strong to me. Market Cap is less than 7, and that is before taking into account their cash position - bought in this am, hoping for a nice 30% rise. Anyone else interested?

LONDON (AFX) - Numis Corporation PLC said it expects its interim results for
the six months to March 31 2002, to be released on or around May 10, to be
"significantly ahead" of the interim results for the same period a year earlier.
The company said that, although it remains cautious in current market
conditions, the year has continued well and it believes that it has an adequate
pipeline of corporate transactions. Furthermore, commissions from the secondary
market and trading profits have been satisfactory in difficult market
conditions, it said.

In addition, during the first half of the current financial year, the group
sold 260,000 shares in the London Stock Exchange PLC, giving rise to an
exceptional gain of in excess of 1 mln stg.
The group said its balance sheet is strong with net cash balances in excess
of 11 mln stg.
