113mike, it's your call .... I invest long .... not in a position to short. I work at sea a lot and comms aboard are not conducive to watching shares like a hawk and selling. from my point of view, NUOG are a bit like investing in a fund ... they have knowledge of the industry and are specialising in a niche they can see maturing. Assets that were lying neglected because, for some time, there were prettier girls in the playground (do I sound like Trump?) will become more viable and attractive as new techniques for getting at the reserves become economically viable .... a lot of reserves that made sense at $100 a barrel for Brent Crude have been hit by the drop in the value of oil ... some fields have massive infrastructure behind them that cost a lot to run ..... if you can have what are effectively robots running around stranded or marginal fields beavering away producing oil in relatively small quantities but cheaply, it makes business sense. It's simply a case of cost of production vs what you can get for it. That's why i think this will do, in the long term way better than I would ever get in a bank. I don't have a HUGE stake in this so it's not a deal breaker for me either way but you can see what this share WAS worth not that long ago .... I think the fall in oil prices caused a lot of turbulence and the dust from that shake up is settling ..... I spend a lot of time in Norway and know the big rig building centres are having a dire time of it .... so companies like Aibel who perhaps foresaw the way things were going (a lot of this driven by the human race, for lots of reasons wanting wean itself off consuming hydrocarbons) will now be well placed to capitalise on not just hoovering up the dregs of reserves in stranded fields but also in the decommissioning of oil infrastructure bonanza which comes next .... if you're a trader, this may not be your cup of tea .... I'm not saying I'm NOT a trader ... I can be if I get the right data (and am about to go on a ship for a long time so watching shares is a pain and I sell instead) but, I tend to invest "long" ..... shorting is beyond my competence!!!
