I'm not saying there has been no pumping and dumping ..... but what i AM saying is not every share that is, to some extent, pumped and dumped is without potential .... I think NUOG's management need applauding for where they've invested. The seem to know the business and where it was heading.

Stord in Norway used to build oil platforms .... it's suffered from the drop in the price of crude oil but don't forget there are existing fields that need work doing on them as they have to adjust production methods as the nature of the field changes from being full of relatively easy-to-get-at oil to less full of more-difficult-to-extract oil .... which is what NUOG foresaw ....... that it would be cheaper to exploit the dregs of existing fields than finance searches for new fields .... the phrase "peak oil" was coined because it was realised no massive oil finds like those in the Middle East has been found for a long time .... plenty of smaller finds in hostile environments .... but the cost of hiring security to guard pipelines in Nigeria, Iraq etc. has lead people (like NUOG) to realise "all the security needs paying for ... cheaper to spend that money on companies like NUOG to get stranded fields producing" ..... what do you do with your oil fields and pipelines when something like ISIS comes along? All the oil they have been selling will have belonged to a company before ISIS emerged ... for all it's faults, the North Sea doesn't have ISIS in RIBs screwing things up ...

I suspect this is what triggered the jump in the share price last week. I think I've found some analysis in the Norwegian media that suggests there's more of this to come.

I have had a lot of dealings with Norway since 1989 and the chats in hotel bars with oil industry engineers has been revealing ..... I topped up today as this fell ..... if you're invested here, watch the Aibel web site ... it will reveal more than NUOG's ....... there is shed-loads of work like this (announced today) to be done in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea ..... and elsewhere .....
