Looking at this today I should have realised Daniel Levi BMD would arrive very soon. Oil companies are all affected by low oil prices and NTOG likewise. Probably best to assure the oil price received rather than pump oil at little or no profit.

On selling an asset, especially a share. It would be daft to tell people you are going to sell stock. Send the price down. Then get less cash for your shareholders. The eminent Gorilla has resonated daft thoughts on this one.

Recently, many companies producing coal have seen sharp turnarounds. Moving from heavy losses to high profitability. This is even in thermal coal, not just metallurgical coal. So near broke, useless and often liars, to profitable companies. Oil will follow as others like iron ore improve. More expensive coal means increasing demand for oil.

Despite yesterdays rise and fall it does look to be a reasonable deal for NTOG. Buying under 2.2p as a starter looks a fair punt. A gamble but not too much at this point.
