Very positive report this morning with integration of new acquisition ahead of schedule. Good visibilty over earnings, very interesting at this price. P/rE ratio of 10 seams very low, why is it so cheap, is there something I dont know about ?

Very odd. The last 30 or so trades have all gone through at 71.25p, both buys and sells.

True- I was looking at it backwards. They are buys!

If they were sells, there is no way they would be fetching 72p

As the price is nearer the offer than the bid you have to presume they were sells- strange they are not shown as that since that is the calculation the screen normally uses.

And as they are shown as buys - why is the price lower?

Sadly not I

Still long may they continue.

Some interesting transactions going on, two buys of 1,000,000+ and a late trade shown 1,535,000?. Who has that kind of money to spend?

Agree gurp. Not sure if it's a typo or not (text copied from Investorease commentary), but with the Altium targets set as they are stated, then certainly an upgrade.

Why would someone sell shares in 645 tranches all day long, it must cost a fortune in dealing fees, why not sell in 1 lump.

DD - strange, to 'add' from 'buy' is actually a downgrade.

FWIW, a little more detail to the Altium add rec :

21.08.07 :-0.25, (69.25) Altium Securities upgraded the group to 'add' from 'buy' and retaining its 85 pence price target. In a note published this morning, Altium Securities said the Northgate Information Solutions upgrade follows recent share price weakness which has seen it underperform the market by more than 10% over the past month. Altium Securities said that the group has strong cash generative capabilities and has also had an encouraging recovery in each of its three operating divisions in H2 2007. The broker added that, in its view, the share price has come back far enough in the short term.

Broker tips: DSG Intl Sainsburys Tesco Persimmon

Electrical retailer DSG International faded Tuesday as JP Morgan cut the shares to 'underweight' from 'neutral' and recommended a switch into Kesa Electricals.

The broker kept its price target for DSG at 165p, just a few pennies away from last night's closing price, while Kesa offers around 28% upside to its target.

Kesa also has exposure to the buoyant French retail environment, which accounts for 52% of its sales.

J Sainsbury has posted slim gains after ABN Amro lifted shares in the supermarket giant to 'hold' from 'sell' with price target raised to 544p from 450p.

But the broker thinks Wm Morrison, still a 'buy' with 363p target, and Tesco, which also remains a 'buy' with price target down to 583p from 602p, may represent better value.

Hi Drunker50

Thats brave of you.. But I guess at the moment, you bought, you reconded you had called the bottom of the market. Well brave you and brave me, I boyght RIO at £34.53 and thouge I had grabed a bargin...

In 2 years it is going to look a bargin, but in the mean time I admit I really caught a crab, and very stupiditly hung on for the bounce. I anmit it to all that read this, I thought I caught a slow falling knife, but in ralality I thought I was making an investment desision when in fact I was 'gamboling'.

Silly me..

Jim
