Hello,

I last posted at 5129. I said at the time I would think of selling near 90p. Any thoughts on this? Im fairly keen to sell on good news, is there much more to come? Short term holding seems to work better for me.
Is anyone holding out for 100p? Cheers.

Takeover fever seems to be gripping the sector.....RAS and Civica.

There's bound to be speculation surrounding which company might be next.

Still wouldn't sniff at a £1/share bid although obviously would prefer more!

Hi... It looks like the rise really kicked off at 8.30 this morning. Does any one have any knowlage of a news srory or release that started this, or was it yesterdays share magizine tip. If it was the magizine then I suggest Nick Stone buys the Magizine and share tips it every week. It would be cost effective on todays performance. (:-) For all of us...

I agree, but lets hope that any interest by private equity or anyone else values NIS at what it is REALLY worth.

I for one would be pretty fed up now if it went cheap with so much positive news in this stock.

Northgate Informatio Alchemy Partners behind Civica takeover approach - sources

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Alchemy Partners, the UK private equity firm
led by Jon Moulton, is the mystery suitor behind the takeover approach to
Civica, the UK software and services company, according to industry sources.
The takeover approach is a U-turn for Alchemy, which was the biggest
shareholder in the public sector software specialist until last October when it
sold its final share.
In June Civica, which is listed on London's Alternative Investment Market,
said a private equity firm had made an unsolicited takeover approach. Civica
declined to name the potential bidder, saying only that discussions were at an
early stage.
Civica supplies around 9 in 10 local authorities in the UK and 47 out of 53
police forces, often on long-term contracts. This makes it an attractive target,
according to analysts.
Some analysts reckon Civica could fetch up to 350 pence per share in the
event of a bidding war, which would value the company at around 220 mln stg.
Any buyer of Civica is also likely to try and snap up other IT suppliers
specialising in the public sector, such as Northgate Information Solutions and
Anite Group, to consolidate the market and maximise profits, industry watchers
believe.

Tipped in todays Shares mag as a buy - "NIS is in a great position to deliver earnings growth. It has targeted niche areas with good growth potential and its market share should enable it to gain a competitive edge. The recent healthy results and director buying represent good grounds for a further rise in the share price."
