Wills & Co brokers believe NIS is unjustifiably discounted and this will soon be addressed. They have a target price of 105p.

Fill your boots.

I hold NIS and ANITE. I have always thought that NIS was better managed and should make better progress. However, both dropped to about 18p when the tech bubble burst. In my view NIS did not deserve it, but Anite had problems. NIS climbed out of the rut with Anite moving more slowly. Today, although NIS still appears a much stronger company, Anite shares were highter than NIS for the first time in years. There is no accounting for this market.

The results should see the SO over 90p and we should see an increased dividend.

Let us hope he can do something. These shares are drifting still. I thought that the 'offer to buy' would convince the market that they were undervalued, but I do not see that result. My fair value would be anything north of 93p.

Northgate appoints new Divisional Director for Criminal Justice and Public Safety
15/02/2007 [General]

Northgate Information Solutions today announces the appointment of Ian Blackhurst as Divisional Director for Criminal Justice and Public Safety within the Public Services division.

Ian's responsibilities include overall business development, account management, product strategy and sales across the division's work in criminal justice, public safety and health, which aims to improve community well-being and promote community justice.

In the UK, Northgate works with half of all fire brigades and ambulance trusts and every police force, delivering the national system for reporting police performance and processing over 5.5 million penalty notices annually. The company's pioneering technology helps organisations use information to drive business benefits and improve performance through proactive management rather than simple reaction to events. Ian will seek to build on the company's leading positions in enforcement and information management and drive future growth in new areas such as identity management.

"I am delighted to be leading our criminal justice and public safety work at such an important time," said Ian. "Our leading position in these markets provides an ideal base from which to explore further opportunities to deliver value for our customers and the communities that they serve, and to help them meet the challenges that they face both now and in the future".

"This appointment demonstrates our commitment to growth in the criminal justice and public safety sectors", said Dave Meaden, Managing Director of Northgate Public Services. "Across the UK, criminal justice and public safety organisations are facing the challenges of delivering high-quality, efficient services that enjoy the trust of local communities. Our services are designed to help build stronger, safer and more secure communities, and this appointment will strengthen our ability to help meet tomorrow's challenges in the most effective and efficient way."
