25/7/2017 16:54 | The SIPP clawed a decent +0.53% back today with top risers LLOY, BP. & AV. and the pot recovered all of yesterdays losses and more at +0.92% thanks to LLOY, AMS & LGEN Might go for the train to the New Forest Show tomorrow, it's quicker, the grandson will love it and we'll avoid all the hassle of the traffic jams. I think coats, wellies and towels are the order of the day! In The Dark tonight, hope she fares better than in Ripper Street! | mrphil
25/7/2017 16:03 | Well our factory output is certainly up this week, we have an awful lot to get done in this last week of the month. Feel a bit guilty taking tomorrow out, but I will be thinking of them! | mrphil
25/7/2017 12:05 | And to suggest our generation had it easy making money from our houses, we paid £123K for our last house in 1988 and sold it for £120K ten years later after paying out goodness knows how much in high mortgage rates! | mrphil
25/7/2017 11:58 | I'd have been over the moon if mortgage rates were only 4.24% when I started out on the housing ladder! | mrphil
25/7/2017 11:55 | This article seems to have coincided with the top of the market, as prices have started to fall since then. | aleman
25/7/2017 11:12 | GBP 30-y Bond Auction 1.83|2.2 1.67|2.1 | skinny
25/7/2017 10:56 | Rate rises for riskier mortgages: | aleman
25/7/2017 10:44 | I wish! :-) | skinny
25/7/2017 10:37 | Skinny, you're not one of their drivers are you? ;-) | mrphil
25/7/2017 10:18 | Of personal interest! | skinny
25/7/2017 09:42 | I just checked why DOM fell and they cautioned on the UK consumer outlook. H1 LfL UK sales fell from +13.0% last year to +2.4%. | aleman
25/7/2017 08:58 | Skinny, I just fear that the poor old FEVR bumble bee could find itself in a heavy rain shower at some point which could halt it's progress pretty sharply! My old favourite HOTC seemed to do similar - although I never actually bought any shares, just enjoyed the product! | mrphil
25/7/2017 08:55 | If it was a 10% rise from a low level (I thought we were all paying back debt after the crisis) then not a problem, but I suspect all common sense has gone out of the window again now. We're having our own little a bit of a spending spree this year to keep the economy going ;-) but at least we're not borrowing to do it! | mrphil
25/7/2017 08:28 | FEVR - A NAV of 77p and a PE of 79+ - a bit like the laws of aerodynamics and the bumble bee - it keeps flying! | skinny
25/7/2017 08:26 | This looks like a better start, and SPD isn't the top riser! | mrphil
25/7/2017 08:25 | FEVR looks to be a great company but I can't help thinking the share price might have got rather ahead of itself? | mrphil
25/7/2017 08:14 | Interesting article about problems at Deutsche, with mentions of Trump and Russia. | aleman
25/7/2017 08:06 | Good Morning. Another grey start here and forecast to stay much the same today. We watched the whole series of 'The Loch' last night - also mixed feelings about the ending. FEVR!!! | skinny
25/7/2017 08:04 | Morning All. Another beautiful start this morning which makes it all the more galling that our trip to the New Forest Show tomorrow is destined to be a total washout. If that happens, I think that will be the only day this year we have had non stop rain throughout the day! Clearly someone is trying to tell me something! Not sure about the "last ever" episode of Ripper Street last night. | mrphil
25/7/2017 07:44 | Quite a lot of results, this morning, and plenty of good news. I have not seen anything bad except Victrex's consumer division and it did ok in other areas. Alphabet beat forecasts in the US, although the shares eased slightly. | aleman
24/7/2017 21:04 | What happens if the BoJ stops buying up all the government bond issues? What happens if it doesn't? | aleman
