17/5/2004 16:56 | i think my thread is more promising, why don't you join me - its gone nowehre during your tenure artful dodger, looks like all you have done is dodged a shorting profit on it! | ydderf
17/5/2004 16:18 | income buy, no doubt. testing s=120p this week. Nothing to worry about unless it pops down beneath the old resistance mark. | artful dodger
14/5/2004 18:38 | From the days of LGD this guy (ydderF) has consistantly proved to be dishonest and manipulative.Don't see why he would change now. | argy2
14/5/2004 18:32 | Freddy, I see they closed today at 124-126. So have you been buying all the way down from the 140s, or have you miraculously been able to purchase 2.99% at 60p ? Only just this once, I'd like to see a bit of transparency in your huffing and puffing. | tiredoldbroker
14/5/2004 16:13 | the MASTER is now IN! onwards and upwards my friends, my record is second to none! | ydderf
05/4/2004 14:15 | fhmktg. If the move to AIM goes ahead, this means that NICL will not be ISA'able, and furthermore, if you already have it in an ISA (like I do) you will have to sell! This can be a pain. Happened with Radamec, and coincided with a low point in the price!! | garsey
05/4/2004 10:02 | Some end of year clearing out today, but IMHO, when people set up their 2004/5 ISAs, NICL should feature, if only for income. | fhmktg
02/4/2004 13:17 | apcx. Can you post the article? | fhmktg
01/4/2004 12:55 | City Confidential April issue has an article on NICL with a recommendation of "BUY FOR INCOME" | apcx
26/3/2004 20:50 | No quite sure how the move to AIM would affect the share price. In the meantime the divi looks rather tasty! | anth21
24/3/2004 08:32 | results below maintained divi better than expected EPS Nichols plc, the soft drinks, food and foodservice group, announces its preliminary results for the year to 31 December 2003. The group has two principal operations: 1) Soft Drinks (primarily involved in the sale of soft drinks, including Vimto, throughout the world and Sunkist in the UK) and 2) Food Productsand Beverage Systems (including Nichols Foods, the manufacturer and supplier to the vending, foodservice and retail markets; Cabana, soft drinks on draught and Balmoral, supplier of hot beverage systems). The key points are: * Pre-tax profits (before exceptionals) up 17% to #6.6m (2002 : #5.6m) * EPS (before exceptionals) up 23% to 12.47p (2002 : 10.15p) * Summer weather benefited UK Soft Drinks Operation * A move to AIM is planned | artful dodger
16/3/2004 09:33 | Results due 25/26th March on 2003/4; should show beginnings of benefit from restructuring of activities, plus good summer effect on Vimto. Dividend increase would be an effective show of confidence from the Board. On the other hand..... Any views? | fhmktg
28/1/2004 09:57 | I'll take that! | fhmktg
27/1/2004 13:40 | broken out of 140p....if we take the period between 130 and 140p as a flag, we should see 170p-175p now -nice return | artful dodger
12/1/2004 14:12 | We'll need to see some firm evidence that the strategy review and site rationalisation are bearing fruit, before there is significant upside, but that would underpin the dividend, which should produce some buying interest (IMHO) Vimto quite prominant in my local Tesco and I noticed Vimto spread (new to me!) Perhaps the marketing team are getting their act together, building on the good summer. News today that Supermarkets are going to be pushing price competition does not bode well. Still holding and looking to top up, modestly, to get the divi. | fhmktg
08/1/2004 22:18 | building up again for a push at 140p target 160p | artful dodger
11/9/2003 15:22 | Hopefully the froth has now died away. Buying today gets the dividend and, fingers crossed, a bounce off the 50 day m.a. Good luck to all holders | foster
12/8/2003 15:39 | just to point out nichols to any chartist who like a clear breakout. I hold these in my sipp for yield and capital growth. looks like a good play for a long, hot summer dodger | artful dodger
11/8/2003 12:48 | Good write up in Mail on Sunday, citing both dividend security and the potential for capital growth over the coming 12 months. Roll on the results! | fhmktg
11/8/2003 10:10 | Precisely why I bought in last year......hot weather + restructuring should bring home the bacon!! | a2336418
10/8/2003 11:08 | Tipped as as a buy in the Mail today according to Citywire. CR | cockneyrebel |
