20/1/2024 09:26 | gadgie2, well done for all the postings as they are appreciated. I wonder if you need to phone up the company and organise a fireside chat with the senior management for a motivation seminar on the value of this new TV opportunity and how they can expedite this more quickly :) | ![]() takeiteasy
20/1/2024 07:57 | Today we launched Jio Cinema, one of the most important applications in the Indian market. It is the new home of Indian Premier League Cricket. And if you know the market you know how important this league is for the Indian consumers. I'm really proud of the work our teams have done in the last year and a half in launching all the key local apps in the market, including Hotstar, SonlyLIV, Zee5, Hungama, and others, to make our Indian offering competitive. We're starting 2024 very strong! | ![]() gadgie2

19/1/2024 12:12 | The discovery tool which he briefly explained and I had also mentioned previously sounds very promising for the upcoming election campaigns, fingers crossed their sales team does a good job selling the product. The discovery tool basically allows you to discover what your target audience is reading on display, consuming on web or even on the tv. I don't know how it tracks this audience and it is obviously different from third party cookies or else it wouldn't have a new name (although I don't know what identifiers it uses, particularly since it can link the same person to both media, web and ctv) but Amobee had this product and it seems to do a great job at knowing everything what you read and watch so if a political campaigner such as Trump is looking for new voters and via this discovery tool he can identify a group of people who already watches Trump videos and read Trump's news, rather than wasting ad spend in targeting those people who he already knows will vote for him, he instead spends ad money into targeting the people who are watching/reading about other candidates and try to steal votes by filling in their feed with ads linking to Trump campaign videos in an effort to convince them Trump is the best and that everyone's talking about Trump hence why all the ads. It sounds like a very powerful tool | ![]() tapa7

18/1/2024 11:02 | I quite like the smell of Sikhthetech’s tent burning - next stop is a Poundland doorway and a Millet’s sleeping bag. On a plus side for him - he might be able to salvage the sleeping bag from the burning tent. What a guy! | ![]() barkbooo

18/1/2024 09:43 | This time last year Ofer was having a fireside chat with Laura, I recall he was very optimistic about the year ahead and was telling the world he'd rebrand the company. Retrospectively one could say he was over optimisc given that we had countless downward revisions to his cfo guidance (Niri has to be among the most incompetent CFOs out there after so many failed projections, how does he still have a job?) but at least the rebranding did work out and it seems the ticker change even got rid of the bots that were shorting us? Perhaps other businesses should try the same remedy (if it was only that simple!). I am curious to hear what news he has to share with us this year, I expect nothing short of optimism again but hoping for some valuable insights. | ![]() tapa7
18/1/2024 08:56 | Ragos, I personally think this will be settled before any trial. Tremor have requested a trial date and a date for the mandatory settlement conference. Alphonso/LG have requested the trial and mandatory settlement conference are delayed pending the outcome of the pending motions. We are thus awaiting the courts decision on the pending motions and then there will be a settlement conference were I think a suitable settlement figure will be agreed to save the time and expense of a trial. I would hope this can be achieved in the next six months but who knows? | ![]() midasx
18/1/2024 08:23 | Midas, In your view, is a conclusion to the case likely this year? (I have a poor opinion of legal suits that they drag on for years). R | ![]() ragos
18/1/2024 08:19 | They are somewhat making our case for us! LG says Alphonso’s board was a “hot mess” that needed change Ad firm founders say LG wanted to have “unchecked control” LG Electronics Inc. defended ousting senior leaders and board members at ad tech firm Alphonso Inc. after its merger with an LG affiliate as necessary changes to cleanse a toxic partnership. | ![]() midasx
18/1/2024 08:12 | Let's hope the fact that LG were found out in the Alphonso case sets a precedent for our case against LG/Alphonso. It was proven that they pay no regard to contractual obligations or business ethics. On Friday, Delaware’s Chancery Court ruled in Alphonso’s favor, finding that LG Electronics breached a stockholders agreement in December 2022 when it terminated five of Alphonso’s co-founders to wiggle out of contractual obligations that were set following LG’s acquisition of Alphonso in 2021. LG’s machinations to gain full control of Alphonso’s board and force stockholders to sell their shares at a low price played out not unlike a coup. | ![]() midasx

17/1/2024 14:17 | For anyone who tracks this , do we still have the hedge fund being short? I am wondering if this is the first time in more than a couple of years to actually top up (for the reasons you give tractorhead) - having been shafted the last time I did this :) | ![]() takeiteasy |
