Midas,
Many thanks.
Your view would be a good and timely outcome.
Hope you are correct.

This time last year Ofer was having a fireside chat with Laura, I recall he was very optimistic about the year ahead and was telling the world he'd rebrand the company.

Retrospectively one could say he was over optimisc given that we had countless downward revisions to his cfo guidance (Niri has to be among the most incompetent CFOs out there after so many failed projections, how does he still have a job?) but at least the rebranding did work out and it seems the ticker change even got rid of the bots that were shorting us? Perhaps other businesses should try the same remedy (if it was only that simple!).

I am curious to hear what news he has to share with us this year, I expect nothing short of optimism again but hoping for some valuable insights.

Ragos,

I personally think this will be settled before any trial.

Tremor have requested a trial date and a date for the mandatory settlement conference.

Alphonso/LG have requested the trial and mandatory settlement conference are delayed pending the outcome of the pending motions.

We are thus awaiting the courts decision on the pending motions and then there will be a settlement conference were I think a suitable settlement figure will be agreed to save the time and expense of a trial.

I would hope this can be achieved in the next six months but who knows?

Midas,
In your view, is a conclusion to the case likely this year?

(I have a poor opinion of legal suits that they drag on for years).

They are somewhat making our case for us!

LG says Alphonso’s board was a “hot mess” that needed change
Ad firm founders say LG wanted to have “unchecked control”
LG Electronics Inc. defended ousting senior leaders and board members at ad tech firm Alphonso Inc. after its merger with an LG affiliate as necessary changes to cleanse a toxic partnership.

Let's hope the fact that LG were found out in the Alphonso case sets a precedent for our case against LG/Alphonso. It was proven that they pay no regard to contractual obligations or business ethics.

On Friday, Delaware’s Chancery Court ruled in Alphonso’s favor, finding that LG Electronics breached a stockholders agreement in December 2022 when it terminated five of Alphonso’s co-founders to wiggle out of contractual obligations that were set following LG’s acquisition of Alphonso in 2021.

LG’s machinations to gain full control of Alphonso’s board and force stockholders to sell their shares at a low price played out not unlike a coup.

Understand what the loss of ACR data has cost us with LG then think about how we overcame this VIDAA growing faster than Japanese knotweed .... This is our year Rodney

For anyone who tracks this , do we still have the hedge fund being short? I am wondering if this is the first time in more than a couple of years to actually top up (for the reasons you give tractorhead) - having been shafted the last time I did this :)

On a day of red across the board... Nexn manages to stay positive. Is this purely the buyback doing its job?

Finally seems that most sellers have gone? Remainder of stock fairly tightly held?

Unfortunately seems like world economy is still fragile. Does this mean ad spend will still be low? Can we make progress against these headwinds even with our full stack machine and VIDAA data?

Never an easy ride...

Takeiteasy, this is why the courts need to teach em a lesson they won't easily forget. Punitive damages are the only thing that works with these large companies. Sadly Samsung was not taught a lesson with Nanoco.

Wheeze - even if they end up paying out to us they get all the long term value from the data do they not - so sadly they probably feel the payment is short term noise. Is this how you see it

Looks like an open and shut case once they agree which docs are sealed or redacted. And a TU before the fireside chat with Laura on Thursday should take the share price to a new range

We seem stuck in a range atm from 1.90 to 2.10 so a break out above that would make things a little more interesting:)
