13/10/2014 17:12 | First share buy-backs today, at 6406p, since last trading statement. | sogoesit
13/10/2014 15:07 | Interestingly there was little weakness relative to the overall market. | markgahagan
13/10/2014 08:37 | Nice opening again? | kendonagasaki
11/10/2014 10:51 | I dont know enough to do short term trades I am afraid but good luck. As I say all buys are matched by a sell. Without sellers the buyers would not have a market. My view is over 20 years and I think Next will still be around then (going by my wife's constant purchases anyway!). Of course we can both benefit from a fall, you get paid on your short and I get to buy more. All the best. | markgahagan
11/10/2014 09:23 | I bought some more Thursday. I would have thought the buy back level would provide a floor under this one but I could of course be wrong; for every buy there is someone selling who has a contrary opinion. Will be interesting to watch this play out. It remains a dominant force in retailing and I would not like to bet against it. | markgahagan
06/10/2014 16:11 | Allch2 ... Because it has a totally different management culture and transparency about it than its competitors is maybe why. They tell you what they do in open terms and their performance matches their statements. In that sense it would be difficult to short until it's too late imv. I'm a long term holder. | sogoesit
06/10/2014 13:13 | Really dont get this stock, it is in a crowded space like supermarkets yet barely flinches even when it has a hiccup, every part of me says this should be a short but i cant bring myself to do it with any conviction. | allch2
02/10/2014 22:04 | Well spotted - yes what I call 'a downer bkr' ie one that's always miles under the consensus - I tend to ignore ones that are miles out | luckymouse
02/10/2014 12:17 | Merely a re-iteration. Espirito have been very wrong on Next for a long time. 02-Dec-13 Espirito Santo Execution Neutral 5,400.00p 4,150.00p 5,500.00p 15-Apr-14 Espirito Santo Execution Sell 6,235.00p 5,500.00p 5,500.00p 02-Oct-14 Espirito Santo Execution Sell 6,575.00p 5,500.00p 5,500.00p | zulu001
02/10/2014 11:37 | Blimey - a sell note on the mighty NXT - never thought I would see that! I don't agree - reality is it reached fair value 4mths early so now is in a sideways zig zag pattern til jan 15 - so a hold or weak buy rating seems correct I calc forwards: (nearly exact same as bkrs) 7059 JAN15 7676 JAN16 So a buy on market dips ATB LM | luckymouse
30/9/2014 09:07 | What about effect of unsold stock? £60 seems plenty now | tr65
30/9/2014 08:41 | Their share buy-back threshold was £66 but if their profit forecast changes that would (might?) change as well. On my charts support is at around £63. | sogoesit
30/9/2014 08:27 | No, they're blaming warm weather in September (September isn't summer). They won't go down as much as ASC, as they aren't on anywhere near as high a rating. | sundance 13
30/9/2014 08:02 | Open down only 4%. If it had been ASC it would have been 14%! | tr65
30/9/2014 07:53 | tr, they are. sunshine causing loss of sales in summer??? | humbugg
30/9/2014 07:49 | Don't like the sound of this. Surely they can't just blame the weather? | tr65
16/9/2014 10:46 | Fashion retailer Asos issues third profit warning (expects profits to be flat)- its shares have fallen over 10% this morning. | zulu001
16/9/2014 09:11 | Indeed, a shambles, mike | sogoesit
16/9/2014 08:17 | well the chart says different, till this vote is out the way, wot a shambles Yes vote almost factored into share price @ 6855 No vote could see up to a 2% rise 19/9 edit, john lewis (sales down due to warm weather) has pulled the share price back a bit other retailers woes (asos) should be to the benefit of nxt, and a good move to bring in range of higher priced fashions, 22/9 share price recovering on a very red day 23/9 ditto 25/9 price needs to close above 6855 dyor oh dear! a chance for the buy back team to show some mettle, but the dow seems to be heading for 16000 | mike24
12/9/2014 17:37 | IC reports following the results that Investec forecasts 401p EPS for the year and, awarding it its current approx. 20 P/E, that makes an share price of £80. | sogoesit
