They should freeze the bank account and return funds to shareholders before it's all flushed down the toilet in one final indignity by a bunch of directors that should have done the decent thing and fallen on their swords after the Kuwait fiasco, IMHO.

But of course there's not much integrity floating around the city these days, perhaps there never was?

A reasonably sensible post from nerdofsteel. However, premium bonds are limited to I think fifty grand, and I dont think companies could buy them. Property is peaking and IF interest rates do go up, then there will be some downward pressure. Chins...............

The oil exploration market is almost dead, too much oil and dwindling demand

They'd be better off deplying the capital they have left on Premium Bonds, Property or Hutchison China Meditech shares

My understanding of the conference call and the Chairman's statement above is that the Company claims it has a mandate for its strategy from the response to the Open Offer and Clawback, which was fully subscribed. All those share holders who bought in (including 14% of old shareholders and 100% of the placees) signed up to Belize/Denmark exploration while searching out new late stage projects ("the strategy"). They thought they were just buying shares but apparently not.

GheeBee. I can not claim credit for that information.
I did not hear the conference call. I expect there must be a link somewhere so I may have a look later. Andy, that is the interesting question; who is the partner? Can they really drill alone.
It does appear a bit reckless to me. Looks like management do not want to let go and have taken the attitude; 'its all or nothing now'
Not going to let BT crew control NEW even if it means busting the company.
They could get lucky , of course. Sleepless nights for those in deep.

We have been active on the ground and identified a suitable well location and have outlined a drilling plan and cost analysis to enable the drill programme to commence quickly on the completion of negotiations with a farm-in partner and ahead of the Production Sharing Agreement (“PSA”) termination date on 12 October 2015"

On 15 and 17 Sep we were told that no partner had yet signed up and negotiations were ongoing.

TW does have a point. Those lucky enough to be in on the conference call had the opportunity to hit the sell button whilst most were ignorant.
Certainly was a lot of selling, surprise, surprise!.

Have not seen any comment from Chrisoil; that's odd.

I wonder if we will later find out who took advantage of this irregular disclosure.
