Pelleeds,

The money is yours to withdraw when it becomes cleared funds. I suspect that TDW operates like the normal banks do. They need the cheque to be cleared and then they will release the 'pending' transactions.

Cash is in my TDW account but it isnt there to be withdrawn it's showing as a pending transaction - will this 'settle' and thus mean I can pull it out or do I need to speak to them

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Thanks muzoman - like you, I am not a short-termer, I built my position in NPH gradually over 12 months, and was prepared to stay for 2-3 years to get full value. I also liked the story here, and what the company was trying to achieve. I'm just glad they made an early decision to return funds - some others would have milked it until all the cash was gone.

I have no problem making losses like this - it's part of the game. I've made all of that and much more back in the last two months (have been heavily into several junior gold explorers since summer 2009 so am now well in the money on those).

Good luck with yours

Mine credited to my TDW a/c as well. If no further payment, then I would have lost £15k overall. Very surprised they have not been able to sell the business/research for a decent sum considering how serious autism these day!!

Alchemy 30

There was no "tender offer" for the company as no buyer materialised - this, of course was the problem.

I strongly suspect that you are being advised of the liquidation payment of 11.25p per share and your broker/agents have got it wrong particularly since my interpretation is that GBP6.25 is £6.25 (would that this were right!) not 6.25p per share!

The other explanation is that the note you have received does not relate to Neuropharm.

Sorry to hear that Lombiff. My loss was not as great as yours. Not a day or short term trader. Rather a medium to long term. I suppose one has to keep so close to companies like NPH but trying to keep track is sometimes almost impossible. As the saying goes 'We live and die by the decisions we make.

Best of luck with your future investment decisions.

muzoman - I think you're right - a couple of pence if we're lucky - if we do get it before Christmas, I'll treat the family to a packet of Paxo.

Unfortunately, this one broke my record loss (which was previously RBS) - around £50K down - so it will hold a special place in my memories!!

Lombiff,

Mine was credited yesterday. Also at Barstock. There seems to be some confusion as to what the 'rest' will be on this bb. Not that it matters really. We got well and truely shafted and whatever comes next might just buy a pint and a pie.

G'morning all - Barclays credited the 11.25p into my nominee accounts this morning - trust everyone else now received theirs. FWIW, I think we'll have to wait a while for the rest.

Hi,

Not sure if I have made a mistake or not but it was this wording that made me think we had 6.25p to come:

Terms: TENDER OFFER Further to the acceptance of the tender offer. Please be advised the resulting cash proceeds of
GBP6.25 per ordinary share will be credited to your cash account shortly.
Please keep this notice with your Lloyds TSB Share Dealing documents for future reference.

My information is from a letter dated 20 September from Grant Thornton, the liquidators, addressed to the members/shareholders. This came with a cheque in payment of the first interim distribution. This seems to be "from the horse's mouth".

Bingham4, are you reading the same letter as Alchemy30?. I'll be chasing TDW in the morning

On re-reading the liquidators' statement I note that they have estimated remaining costs (accrued expenses and liquidation costs) at £250000 or about 0.75p per share. My estimate of a further 2.75p per share is beginning to look optimistic.

Sorry to be a party pooper but my reading is that the liquidators are currently holding about £1m, equivalent to about 3p per share. Further funds may be received but these do not seem to be significant and the timing is uncertain. There are sure to be additional costs to be deducted. My feeling is that we may get in the order of another 2.75p per share but when is open to question as the liquidators have themselves stated that they are unable to confirm the timing of further distributions.

I would, of cousre, be delighted to be wrong - perhaps Alchemy30 could show how he got to a further 6.25p per share in the near future?

No sign in my TDW either - 17.5p overall consideration not a bad result though and done nice and swiftly so far.

Well I have received the first portion of funds today and if I am reading my letter correctly we are in for an additional 6.25p per share in the near future so a return of 17.50p per share in total which is obviously quite a bit better than the closing price.
