All part of the deal. I suggest you do more research. (as you admit you haven't. In which case its a bit silly to comment.)

I don't but I know the effect the sector has on private investor shares. Read the RNS again there's a part pertaining to a capital raise from NCCL to close the deal.

"capital raising for Ncondezi's equity contribution towards the Solar Project at Financial Close"

All power projects need external finance. Its a standard investment for long term investors needing areliable - govt or offtaker - backed revenue. Sounds as though you don't know much about the sector

First the coal and they were waiting for external finance and now the solar power and they're waiting for external finance. My take is that the company has nothing and are full of BS.

To add for Danmart. NCCL's figures seem based on no need to raise any funds to keep its share of the project - which at around 19-20% is what it will 'buy' through reinvesting the c5% project development fee alone. So apart from more raises to keep the lights on for the next two years, there shouldn't be any cash raise to fund any more share of the project to achieve the figures NCCL quotes - ie for 100MW a 10% discount NPV share equal to $4.6m or $9.2m at 5%. and over twice those for a 200MW project. So beginning not to be sneezed at. NCCL's annual cash flow for a 100MW plant then turns out at $1.3m-$1.7m and for a 200MW project $3.8m-$4.6m. Important to realise that larger projects won't involve NCCL having to raise more project funds because its project share around 20% will be maintaind by its larger development fee. All in all a good muliple of todays share price looks feasible by the time of financial close. Thats the theory anyway.

Disappointing. Progress is much slower than hoped. Ray of light is NPV 10% discount rate is high for a utility (if NCCL transitions to one). A more realistic 5% would double the stated NPV's. But they have to be divided among whoever puts up the equity. In medium term the much higher returns above 100MW would be really good and if NCCL can't raise the dough would attract majors. So 5 years down the line NCCL might eventually get to its goal.
On a brighter side the stated cash flows appear to be the true cash flows to shareholders after all the costs and deductions that other energy companies never disclose to punters - Mast and Kibo being the worst offenders.

The worst part of the raise, it’s not even for the next solar project (we have been here before).
Read the RNS, this raise is for the boards wages and costs.

About right, 0.5 should see them get a nice million from the mugs.

The question is will they be able to squeeze out one more funding raise in 2024? It’s going to be hard at 0.2 or lower.

All the best getting rid of your NCCL confetti shares, hopefully you and Ace_ventura 11 can work together to boost up the share price so you can both get out.

Pity you can't read and understand a company's reports, amd project technical reports, and do the maths Mr Savannah. Then you woudn't post ignorant and paranoid comments. Your day job obviously doesn't call for balanced judgements.

Best of luck on ur investment here Lurker...I rarely ever post and only read the boards the odd time because you won't gain much knowledge from any of them. You may make a bit on wild swings but as a long term or even short term investment in NCCL or KIBO or anything similar it's little more than a legal scam from the directors, all jam tomorrow while they're fleecing your pockets and living it up on your money

You obviously didn't spot the difference between Kibo and NCCL did you Savannah. And you still can't. Not surprising when you've posted drivel on the few companies you've mentioned in your short time on this board.

KIBO is another one just like NCCLAnyone who buys into this deserves to lose their money.Been up this road too many times in my younger days but experience has taught me how to spot a scam a mile off. Not a holder short or long.Just advice which has been hard earned over the years.

I got out of this a long time ago but still keep an eye on it more out of curiosity but I'm so glad I did. This is little more than a scam of a company just to pay directors big salaries and benefits with no hope of it ever making money. The RNS yesterday really takes the biscuit. News that states the obvious as an excuse to raise more money for the gangsters

A lifestyle company?

Have you seen the CEOs package?

Did one of the board members buy the previous solar project for considerably less than the company spent to build it?

Ncondezi Energy Ltd - power development company - Announces strategic review of Tete coal asset in Mozambique. Ncondezi is looking to find an "acquirer or JV partner" to identify possible parties that can find mine coal resources at the project. Chief Executive Hanno Pengilly says: "Following an internal review of the company's operations, the board has resolved to launch a process to identify a suitable organisation who can take the lead on further developing, financing and mining the company's coal resources whilst the company focuses on developing its solar project and renewable energy strategy. This decision follows the ongoing delays in progressing the coal power project, strong export thermal coal prices and positive progress with the company's 300MW solar PV power project."
