14/8/2017 18:33 | Power line to connect #Mozambique to Malawi Macauhubhttps://maca | cl0ckw0rk0range
14/8/2017 18:31 | Yawn.Gotta love this cretin, pops up regular and excuse the pun, as clockwork when there's anything even remotely connected to the company no matter how tenuous. Clear agenda. What an absolute loser. How's your short? | cl0ckw0rk0range
14/8/2017 17:47 | So novice, are you saying they have built the link to the grid? If so, why is the Indian Steel Minister (or whoever) saying they have not? Is there much point building a power plant without a grid connection? And don't they need a signed agreement with EDM before connection to the grid is even on the table?... Oh, and since EDM has no money, what of the foreign donors (currently absent) to finance construction?... | katylied
14/8/2017 17:25 | "Most of the main coal mining investors in the province have pledged to develop coal-fired power plants that will be able to supply electricity to Tete, the rest of Mozambique and the Southern African Power Pool. As well as creating some employment in their own right, the power plants can provide electricity to industrial consumers in the Rovubué IDZ."http://africanb | cl0ckw0rk0range
14/8/2017 16:55 | The monies owed to themselves and their largest shareholder is indeed something they have to formally sort out before the 2nd of September, but I think everybody on here is aware of that. The other point about not being able to connect to the national grid...have you not followed developments recently? ''During March 2015, the Company received official notification from the Ministry of Land, Environment and Rural Development (“MITADER̶ | novicetrade68
14/8/2017 16:28 | Couple of topical comments in the above article... "...ICVL is considering the possibility of transforming coal mined in Benga, in the central Mozambican province of Tete, into methanol to feed gas-fired power plants in India, said the Indian Minister for Steel..." NCCL once had a simmilar initiative along the lines of the South African coal to liquid fuel process. Came to nothing, the BoD evidently decided putting all their eggs into one basket was the way to go... "...and it was not yet possible to build a thermal power plant in Mozambique due to the lack of connection to the national grid..." Only the NCCL eternal optimists will be surprised by that statement. So... If nothing changes for NCCL in the next 17 days and the debt falls due... what happens?... | katylied
10/8/2017 20:33 | That I've noticed as well ie not much stock around at all. Even when the offer was still at 3p this afternoon an investor paid 3.20p for a relatively small sum(125k shares). I do get the impression sometimes that MMs offer stock that they may not necessarily have, but can always get when they raise the bid as that always seems to bring out some sellers. | novicetrade68
10/8/2017 19:29 | Perhaps they have shortlisted the partners that approached them for the joint venture, perhaps they have even selected a partner, either way there is not much stock around. NTNTNT | cl0ckw0rk0range
10/8/2017 19:15 | Well, it's certainly interesting... a normal(ie boring)NCCL day, but then 5 minutes before the bell the bid and offer go a little bit wild. No doubt we'll all be disappointed again tomorrow morning ;-/ | novicetrade68
10/8/2017 16:26 | J/v partner found?I hope it is good news for all holders. (No, I am not a holder). | daddy warbucks

07/8/2017 09:16 | Yes, indeed, 480k in one go. Nice to see for a change. | novicetrade68
07/8/2017 09:01 | Nice show of confidence with that buy. | daddy warbucks
03/8/2017 07:34 | o/t as in the same sector EDL has m cap of £9m with 170,000,000 tonnes of high grade coal ready to be washed and sold with goverment support.... Mulitbagger! Plant will be up and running over the next few weeks and contracts are yet to be announced. NEWSFLOW will be immense to keep momemtoum going. 2-3p target soon! | timw3
02/8/2017 19:33 | Guess we will see the mark up first thing in that case... | cl0ckw0rk0range
02/8/2017 19:01 | Yes, I agree it must have been worked. Buy limits over the past couple of weeks was the usual 150k in one go. | novicetrade68
02/8/2017 18:53 | Chunky buy, worked IMO. Has been v difficult to buy in volume.Interesting. | cl0ckw0rk0range
02/8/2017 18:47 | A delayed 350k buy just showed up plus a 50k buy, perhaps this has some more legs tomorrow. | novicetrade68
02/8/2017 16:37 | I particularly thought this section prudent given location on NCCL project in Tete, I mean why build transmission in a region otherwise.."At least 18 substations will be installed, allowing the connection of 1,280 new consumers. On another front, 240 million meticais is to be spent in Manica province connecting another 1,000 consumers. The works include the construction of a 175 km Goonda-Espungabera line, a 56 km line between Munhinga and Rotanda with a 30 km distribution network of and installation of 20 substations.Similar work has recently been completed in Tete, with the 15 km Pesanhota-Marara line, 8eight kilometre distribution network and four processing stations. The project, budgeted at 20.8 million meticais, culminated in the connection of 100 mainly low-income new users." | cl0ckw0rk0range
02/8/2017 16:35 | Not sure why you decide to post on this thread either - perhaps you should concentrate on you're own coal to power stock Matt. | cl0ckw0rk0range
02/8/2017 16:34 | What has "mozambiques debt problem" got anything to do with this? The partner is sourcing the debt, not Moz. Bottom line is Ncondezi is very much in play. Those who lost out to Sep initially won't want to lose out second time around. They probably can't believe they're getting a second bite at the cherry to be honest. Conversely SEP have spent 4 years and millions on this project and won't want competitors stealing what they believe is their project. Be prepared for anything these next 4 weeks inc a full takeove | cl0ckw0rk0range
02/8/2017 15:53 | Don't forget NCCL will have to 'pay' for its 40% (30% acc to some) Its not a 'free carry' - they don't exist in the slim margin power sector. Thats not to say there isn't large upside from here. | dudleym1975
02/8/2017 15:52 | Its the Mozambique sovereign debt problem that has come to the fore in the last few months. See the world bank probe in the press last few weeks. No overseas investor will cough up if there are doubts the country can guarantee to repay their loans | dudleym1975 |
