Toffee, good call on the £15.75.

If this level does not hold perhaps looking tp last October's £15.25 area.

With significant exposure to tech firms NAS direction plays a big part here
as previously mentioned.

Bounced back quickly following the late January dip, share price increasing to over £18 a share.

The late Jan price about matched that seen late yesterday.

To expect £18 perhaps a tad optimistic given market conditions since!, but we may see
some support?.

A lot perhaps depends on what the Nasdaq does.

Largest holding is in constellation brands?, owner of Cinch, We Buy Any Car etc.
Assume that valuation is based on the last fund raise but given
the CAZOO share price since then, may be downside scope now.

Mentioned last year their main PE backers may we wise to cash in while
market conditions remained so supportive for this type of business, markets
have now moved in to a more selective phase on those assets.

Hopefully backers have not missed a window of opportunity for an exit.
Might be relevant to the NBPE NAV discount.

Certainly looking oversold on the MACD; but could easily fall further. May find support on the 2000day SMA @ 1600p

Had a small amount, some investors anticipating the cycle is turning?.

Heard someone who works in PE say it's been akin to
free money for the sector recently and that phase is ending.

Some of the extraordinary overvaluation in lower quality tech stateside is beginning
to unwind, but that process is far from over imv.

Alifish - NBPE already fallen around 12% ytd so I guess this was more than priced in, hence muted reactions today.

At 1720p the discount = 20.6%; but actually a tad expensive versus:

CLDN (3630p) on 23.5%; ICGT (1250p)on 23.2% & PIN 320p on 22.9% ....all on Dec'21 valuations of course.

You may find it useful to read posts on the Private Equity thread - the epic is PE.

Note my comments on NBPE in my post there today.

not so simple for me I'll keep watching it or wait for the next nav- markets are not very turbulent now so your guess is as good as mine!

ali - would be interested to hear of the eventual outcome of your deliberations.

Personally I don't think there is a strategy to develop here. The shares are simply a BUY, HOLD or SELL depending upon your view of where Markets are headed. QED!

I am recent here -can someone long comment on what triggers the ups and downs - are the majority of investments in tech?

Very fortunate to have so many exits last year, lets hope they reinvested wisely.

Bought back in today, very small amount as don't know where NAV may settle on a
market shake out.

Yeh suppose so. Listed Pe co's are quite high beta, so can get hurt more in mkt falls, but if u long term its ok.

Autostore is probably only around 4% of NAV now (after recent falls). And that's assuming they haven't reduced their position, which is possible. Therefore a 6% fall today (on top of earlier falls this month) seems an over reaction to say the least!
