crazy movements at the moment, feels like more than a budget, plus FTSE 100 is down, with all the inflation we have had lately the GDP should be up at least 25% so it should be up by 25% of 7800 which is 1500 so this should be more like 9200 as we hit 7800 back in 2017. It will come about and catch up these things always do, so fill your pensions I say, as you buying pension units not your getting them at the same price as of 5 years ago nearly when the correction happens.

Housebuilder Barratt slashes dividend by half to reflect lower earnings

Barratt Developments PLC (LSE:BDEV) is paying less than half of last year’s dividend this year to reflect a squeeze on earnings amid a strained housebuilding environment.

Full-year shareholder returns for the year ending 30 June totalled 16.2p per share compared to 33.7p per share previously.

Basic earnings per share fell by 78% to 11.8p.

Total home completions in the year came to 14,004, which was at the upper end of guidance but still nearly a fifth lower than in the 2023 financial year.

Barratt expects lower demand to persist. In today’s full-year results, the group reiterated reduced housebuilding expectations of between 13,000 and 13,500 homes in the year ahead.

How do you know what a buy is when if your a professional you can buy on the sell price and sell on the buy price, I think the buy and sell is not an indicator of anything, for every buyer there is a seller and every seller a buyer and platform like IG allow you to be the person behind which ere you want or it allows you to be in front of the price trade as well as behind.

if you don't know what I mean, I mean I cat put a buy up at a lower price than where it is and my trade goes on the sell side price book, ie, when someone sells there shares and the price goes down I can purchase them on the sell side trade as I form a part of the support of the share and same happens on a sell at higher price trade, it goes on as a buy to the public market and someone out there needs to buy them for me to sell, so as you can see I'm selling at the buy price and buying at the sell price, its not enough to look at the buy and sells as it tells you nothing.

Well that approach has to change if the economy is to thrive.
Worklessness is a major problem and Starmer needs to address it - difficult I know.
But simply throwing more benefits are those who are able to work is totally pointless.
