15/8/2011 15:48 | There seems to be a buyers strike on this stock. It wouldn't be anything to do with the lack of management updates, would it? | marky_mark06
05/8/2011 08:27 | VNP - Yes thats what I thought, I would be much happier for more detaisl on the Gibraltar situation though reports are not coming through at all yet, not even in the local papers!!! | dgwinterbottom
05/8/2011 07:45 | I believe it could be the state of the markets in general. | veryniceperson
05/8/2011 07:34 | Hi Chaps - I noticed yesterday that there was the biggest trading for four months 650k and the net result was down 3p would this be due to the general state of the market etc? | dgwinterbottom
20/7/2011 11:37 | Frankly, I'm appalled by the lack of detailed information from the company. Not good investor relations. | marky_mark06
14/7/2011 20:12 | Nicely put Nobby!! | dgwinterbottom
14/7/2011 18:32 | Guys Its easy to stress out about this situation as the market hates unknowns (and we can all se sure this sad event will impact NGR earnings in some way this year even if in fact their earnings overall will increase as I expect), however, sometimes we all just have to be patient and look the the long game (i guess I am not really a 'trader'). Positive thinking required i think... Nobby | norbert colon
14/7/2011 16:11 | and then it comes out... with no commentary whatsoever. How informative! One can only assume a delay here: "A further update is planned after insurers and independent survey reports are completed, hopefully before our AGM on July 14th, 2011." Never mind, this is a long-term hold anyway, especially if they can broker some deals in the real growth areas: the Americas and the far East. | 1356
14/7/2011 14:13 | 1356 - Hmm....I share your concern!!!!!!! | dgwinterbottom
14/7/2011 10:32 | last year the AGM statement was released at 7am... strange? or am I reading to much into it due to my lack of patience? | 1356
13/7/2011 10:54 | I suspect we will not hear anything new until tomorrow!! | dgwinterbottom
12/7/2011 09:06 | Marky - yes quite but convenient nontheless!!!! | dgwinterbottom
11/7/2011 19:09 | Yes, but the company is registered in Jersey so not surprising the AGM will be held there! | marky_mark06
11/7/2011 07:24 | One could say that holding the AGM in Jersey given the present situation is a very convenient location that should guarantee few shareholders can attend to ask questions!!! | dgwinterbottom
10/7/2011 15:54 | Agreed we have more questions than answers at this stage. | saucepan
10/7/2011 15:36 | Saucepan - yes they are fully insured but the question is are they covered for consequential loss! As that can be open ended and premiums astronomical because of it, few companoes carry it. Nevertheless there are some pretty significant questions need answering I would have thought not all to do with Nature Group!! | dgwinterbottom
08/7/2011 12:59 | That's true enough it seems... but there could be two parts to this: loss of earnings due to the business interruption - this should be covered, and it's not too much of an issue in the long run. The second, payments of any damages after an enquiry - I doubt that would be covered. It should also be remembered that there's probably a lot of political posturing at the local level too... | 1356
08/7/2011 12:34 | Interesting discussion, but isn't the important point that NGR have already said they are fully insured? If this is the case, it will be the insurers taking the hit, not the Company. From the 2 June RNS: The Group's Gibraltar plant is fully insured under standard conditions. It also has a cover for business interruption. | saucepan
08/7/2011 11:00 | Good point - here's the link: Not sure about the source, think it's a local paper - I was just doing some digging as I'm long Nature Group for internation expansion and regulatory-driven demand. Say they take the hit for £2.6m and if they put it all in this year, then profits could be around £3.5 for the year. If they were to return to normal service and have a clean 2012, then prediction of eps at around 8p x 15 as I think it's worth of a growth rating, then I'd like to see a recovery and beyond to around 120p in 12 months' time. All rough estimates, and no doubt wildly optimistic - but never mind, every needs to DTOR... Good luck holders... | 1356
08/7/2011 10:34 | Interesting article, although no source is given, which means its accuracy must be open to doubt. And it's dated nearly one month ago. | marky_mark06
08/7/2011 09:46 | Could it be 3m Euros?? Spanish claim from Gibraltar, but Gibraltar does not claim from them While the Gibraltar Government has been apologising to the people of Algeciras for the effects of the fire, the municipality there is claiming 3 million euros, the Junta says it will lodge a claim and a court order has been issued against the Chief Minister. The Algeciras municipality said yesterday that it will claim 3 million euros in compensation for damages caused by the oil spill provoked by the Gibraltar fire. The claim will be against the firm Nature Port Reception Facilities Ltd, which belongs to the Nature group plc, and which it is claimed owns the tanks that caught fire and exploded. Earlier, the Algeciras municipality had said that it would take legal action against Shell Petroleum 'in case they were the owners of the tanks', but it has now transpired that Shell were not the owners! Meanwhile, the Junta de Andalucia, the Andalucian regional government, say that they will be lodging a claim for monetary compensation against the British government through the Spanish foreign ministry. The Partido Andalucista says it has opened a formal complaint before the relevant environmental authority in Spain against the Chief Minister Peter Caruana for the oil spill provoked by the explosion and fire. For its part the ecology group Agaden, who are planning a protest on the Spanish side of the frontier, says that the natural park of the Strait has been affected by the oil spill from the tanks. They are having a row with the Junta for having said that the spill had been cleared. Resignations are being called for. The Campo ecologists are saying that Gibraltar does not have the means and resources to tackle a major incident, saying that Gibraltar is just a town of 30,000 people. A claim of negligence on the part of Gibraltar has been sent to the EU. While all this is happening against Gibraltar in the Campo, the Gibraltar opposition take note that the Gibraltar government has apologised to the people of Algeciras but not to the people of Gibraltar for the effects of the fire. Further, while the authorities in the Campo quickly lodge monetary claims against Gibraltar, the Rock has in turn been suffering the consequences of sewage spills from La Linea at Western Beach, and as far as is known, nothing has been claimed from them, said sources. 10-06-11 | 1356
08/7/2011 09:35 | "A further update is planned after insurers and independent survey reports are completed, hopefully before our AGM on July 14th, 2011." If not before, we'll hear something by next Thursday | 1356
07/7/2011 18:40 | Good to see that a new contract has been signed, but an update on the impact of the Gibraltar incident is long overdue. | marky_mark06
01/7/2011 11:03 | Very light trading recently (like the rest of the market). Investors are clearly waiting for a further update from the company. | marky_mark06
01/7/2011 09:31 | I went long this morning - on the basis that this is a great Company and niche area of business long term. | saucepan |
