02/2/2007 17:23 | It would be quite opportune next week to see the results published from the positive trench sampling programme that was undertaken during the end of 2006 in the Annatal area just north of East Saltztal......as one would hope that may well lend some much needed support to the currently miserable SP?!?! | ncp3
02/2/2007 11:49 | misrable innit, but shares can go up as well as down so they say! How low can this go? | bluesbeater
02/2/2007 10:28 | Can buy with OnLine Halifax at 18.88 but cannot sell without having to go through the broker....I wonder why? | sunshine57
01/2/2007 11:54 | ncp3 & maxmol, thanks for the responses guys. Still have an interest but much smaller now. | cuzy
31/1/2007 18:26 | maxmol - I support Tony and the Board 100% with what they are striving to achieve! I have already spoken with Tony both over the phone and in person - and if the share price keeps slipping we will be speaking again! The market always determines the price of a share and due to lack of interest, we are where were are. End of. | ncp3
31/1/2007 18:13 | cuzy - Phone Tony Carlton the Chief Executive Officer on 020 8680 1600 he is very approachable and he will discuss what he see`s as the future for NBR in the short and long term. | maxmol
31/1/2007 18:06 | cuzy - because I did my research back in 2003 and then in 2004 I put my money where my mouth was and have only topped up occasionally and NEVER sold. Even though the current price (19.75p) values the Company at a little over £7m (like WAD, KIM etc) I personally believe, as I said in my 2130 Posting, that these shares are hugely undervalued - and if, as both maxmol and I believe, something transpires in 2008 or before which results in these trading anywhere above 60p for whatever reason then anyone that buys today could potentially be looking at a 300% return in under 17months. If however the shares are trading at less than 15p then I got it wrong! I'm not some ramper trying to pump and dump these shares, I'm a long term holder who is unhappy that the website is almost identical to when it was launched and hasn't been updated with, at the very least, the photo's that were on display at the AGM's. To his credit Tony is trying to save every penny that he can which I think is commendable BUT we need more news-flow as I keep saying. Also, I am re-posting the following article to show that is not just myself and a few others that think this is a little gem! In the "Ivestors Chronicle" dated 10th NOVEMBER 2006. Under AIM: DIAMOND RESOURCES. NAMIBIAN RESOURCES (NBR). It may or not be the effects of global warming but in March this year, Namibian`s diamond exploration area some 900km south of Windhoek was hit by the worst rain storm since records began. In 24hours. a desert area became a giant lake, with water rising up to the top of road signs. As a result, much of Namibian`s production acreage became inaccessible as access roads were washed away. Work had to stop on the particularly rich East Saltztalacreage and a sampling programme has started instead on the Annatal area just north of East Saltztal. There past records show that diamonds of between0.25 and one carat were recovered in the early 1900`s, when it was mined by Germans. Yet Namibian Resources still managed to increase 2006 half-year sales and profits. The latter were boosted by a combination of lower sales costs and only a modest rise in administration expenses. So net cash balances are now up to £800,000. In the half year, the number of diamonds recovered rose by a fifth to nearly 6,700,while the average stone size rose from 0.59 carats to 0.68 carats. In total, carats produced jumped by a third to close to 4,400. Thats only 500 or so less than produced in the previous 12 months. Namibian`s acreage is only 4km by 200 metres in size.(This is the incorrect bit, the area 4km by 200 metres is the Saltztal acreage, the total acreage of Namibian Resources is 10 km by 12 km approx.) but it reckons that there are enough diamonds to mine for the next 10 years. It`s licence to mine diamonds runs until April 2012 and is renewable for another 10 years thereafter. TIP UPDATE Through lack of interest, the shares have fallen back from over 50p early in 2005. BUY. Do your own research and make your own investment decision - but please look beyond the share price alone which has fallen back due to lack of interest and the website which is Pony when compared to its peers! | ncp3
31/1/2007 11:10 | ncp3 - why are you convinced?? I am struggling to find any real further info on NBR. | cuzy
29/1/2007 13:00 | Sadly, the daily volume is so outrageously thin or non existent these days that maxmol is absolutely right people need a reason to buy and they also need to look beyond the share price chart and read up about the positive things going on within NBR. As I have said many times before, I personally feel that the Company website needs to be updated with some current photos (I understand that Tony has hundreds!) of the diamond rich concession which is a great way to generate our own PR, at next to no cost, and this could be noted in the 'quarterly update' which people will read! Perhaps even consider changing the company name to Namibian Diamonds PLC? Increased and frequent news-flow (e.g. During January NBR did sampling at x and recovered 60 diamonds over 1ct; during February NBR did sampling at x and y and recovered 109 diamonds over 1.25cts; acquired some new machinery which arrives on site next week, or any relevant info about the day-to-day happenings on the concession that might grab peoples attention and which might make people feel more involved and willing to invest. This stock clearly isn't a short-term investment play (I know only too well), but I think that it is reasonable to assume that expansion could be on the cards later this year............... so watch this space, do your own research and get in NOW at 21-22p because believe me although it might take a week, a month or even a year or two there will, I am convinced, be major news-flow that propels this mining minnow towards 100p and maybe even beyond IMHO! | ncp3
29/1/2007 12:01 | Sunshine57 - They need a reason to buy. 1. Perhaps more and larger diamonds being found, the next 3 monthly progress report should tell us. 2. Expansion. See www.namibianresource find this, "Two situations are currently under serious consideration", purhaps one of these will come good and warrant a suspension of NBR shares. 3. With continued/increasing numbers/larger diamonds, perhaps we may be taken over. We can all hope that one or two of the above will happen. | maxmol
29/1/2007 10:15 | maxmol - I don't see any volume at all on the Halifax Share dealing line this morning. Do you see it differently? We need people to buy to send the share price up | sunshine57
24/1/2007 23:48 | sunshine57 - Give it to at least the end of July 07. | maxmol
24/1/2007 21:37 | maxmol - I DO hope you are right... I have held these for so long.... not a huge amount I have to say but still 50% down!! Obviously bought at the wrong time and took my eye off the ball...so to speak. However, I am still hopeful that they will come good... | sunshine57
20/1/2007 19:00 | Blanearab. Thankyou for your good luck with this share. It MAY be a pity for you that you did not give this share another 4/5 MONTHS to come good. | maxmol
19/1/2007 20:48 | Good luck to you Maxmol, I hope it does double, but the lack of short-medium term activity meant that I bailed out this morning. | blanearab
19/1/2007 17:45 | Blanearab / decdec Come back in June/July 07, could it be double by then??? We all hope so. | maxmol
19/1/2007 14:13 | I agree with Blanearab.Where is the upside....dont tell me ..its just around the corner. The silence from the company is deafening. | decdec
19/1/2007 01:21 | This really is the biggest load of cak that I have ever put a penny into. Total lack of trading, total lack of information from the company resulting in a share price that fluctuates greatly on £5k worth of trades. I bought this based on a Sharecentre recommendation and watching it for a while. I bought in when I thougt NBR had reached the bottom, but it seems there is a lack of up-side. In the meantime I could have been making money elsewhere, but then again that's the risk you take when you take a punt on small companies. I wouldn't hold my breath while watching for an increase in fortunes. | blanearab
11/1/2007 13:21 | Were still watching? | seatrader
07/1/2007 14:22 | Within the next 5/6 months the header may be half correct,it could be 3x return within that time scale. If you look at www.namibianresource " Two situations are currently under SERIOUS consideration " Watch this space. | maxmol
06/1/2007 17:15 | Post removed by ADVFN | Abuse team
06/1/2007 17:15 | Shouldn't the header 6X RETURN IN 12 MONTHS (NBR) be changed as it is way past 12 months and it just hasn't happened....no signs of 6X in sight! | sunshine57
01/1/2007 13:55 | Just decided to start watching this one | hyper al
31/12/2006 17:24 | Markqi - very difficult to predict, as sadly the daily volume is so outrageously thin these days! IMHO I would hope to see 50p by late-August 2007 and 100p+ by mid-2008 but that said if the sampling results from the Annatal area are above expectations and/or were there to be other newsflow then we might well see some steep upward movement sooner rather than later? Good luck all! | ncp3 |
