Going to be a painful season for clothing given the weather - likely to be one of the worst on record.

Whilst addressing elements of the same market, I am not sure how relevant a read-across of recent Bonmarche numbers are. Bonmarche have 300+ stores and only 8% of their sales are online, comparatively BNWG have a small store portfolio to build further brand awareness, and 62%+ of their sales are online.

Weather may well have had an impact, I suspect however that this has been more than reflected in the price.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

16th Dec you say - Why would one wants to invest in a catalogue business. This was never an investment

17h Dec you say - Just gone long at 300p for a trade

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bizarre to say the least.

Just hit its long term support line so I guess it could find some support but it is clear that the next set of results here are going to be critical.

the clothing retailers seem to be clearly divided into winners who appeal to a younger audience and the losers who appeal to an older client base.
Look at the two clothing retailers reporting today. Supergroup and Bonmarche.

It's the financing side of the business - they run a loan book so like a retailer and finance co built into one.

If you listen to the co's recent results presentation they highlight it a lot in there srichardson8

Looking firm today

can anyone explain simply why receivables are such a big item. Presumably to do with the financing business? I am also asking the company by e-mail...

This has been the first couple of days of cold weather so far this season, do we think the warm wet weather for much of November will have had an adverse effect?
