The owner of the WeChat messaging app has held talks with MySQUAR about commercial partnerships and a potential investment, according to Asia-based bankers.

It does look as if the RNS was 100% genuine, and comments by TW brought that into question. Trading in the last few days looks to have been affected. Some may have suffered losses due to the sharp fall and that is sad.

Chinese Net Giant eyes Burma app tie up is the headline in today’s Sunday Times Business Section. One of the worlds largest companies the Chinese firm Tencent,which is valued at £400 Billion (yes BILLION, is reported to be in discussions with MYSQ.
They are discussing commercial partnerships and a potential investment in MYSQ. They recently bought 12% of Snapchat.
A very exciting development from a reliable source in contrast to the organ of the disreputable Pizza man.

Extract From 'Thisismoney' article- It’s fair to say the past few months have been challenging for MySQUAR investors. Towards the end of last year the Myanmar-language social media, payments and entertainment group teamed up with a couple of partners. This included a deal that will see its games distributed on the Huawei InTouch platform.yet the shares haven’t responded, with investors harbouring concerns over a slight slowdown in daily revenue growth in the first quarter, while the civil unrest in the country probably hasn’t helped either.The market’s sentiment took a significant turn for the better this week though as MySQUAR delivered a belated Christmas present to its shareholders.it said on Wednesday it had received an approach from a mystery organisation which could lead to a takeover offer at some point in the near future.
MySQUAR hinted that it would prefer to be taken out further down the line, stating that it appreciated the interest but is not actively seeking a buyer as it expects to become an “even more attractive prospect over time”.the firm muttered the usual line that there can be no certainty of any offer, but investors were willing to chance their arm, sending the stock soaring by almost 50 per cent to 2.4 pence.

Further to speculation from a recent internet article noted today, MySQUAR, the Myanmar-language social media, entertainment and payments platform whose principal activity is to design, develop and commercialise Myanmar-focused internet-based mobile applications, announces that it has received an approach from another organisation which may or may not lead to a takeover offer. Whilst appreciating any interest shown by potential investors or acquirers, the Company is not actively seeking a purchaser and believes that the continued growth and monetisation of its products will make it an even more attractive prospect over time.
