From the 3/1/17-Further to speculation from a recent internet article noted today, MySQUAR, the Myanmar-language social media, entertainment and payments platform whose principal activity is to design, develop and commercialise Myanmar-focused internet-based mobile applications, announces that it has received an approach from another organisation which may or may not lead to a takeover offer.
Whilst appreciating any interest shown by potential investors or acquirers, the Company is not actively seeking a purchaser and believes that the continued growth and monetisation of its products will make it an even more attractive prospect over time.

Chinese Net Giant eyes Burma app tie up is the headline in today’s Sunday Times Business Section. One of the worlds largest companies the Chinese firm Tencent,which is valued at £400 Billion (yes BILLION, is reported to be in discussions with MYSQ. They are discussing commercial partnerships and a potential investment in MYSQ. They recently bought 12% of Snapchat. A very exciting development

The making of Mysquar would probably be as important to investors if Tencent just involved themselves with a controlling stake in the company as it would with a complete buyout. As the market cap of Mysquar is very low Tencent might just make an off market bid about ten percent above the highest price during 2017 = 7p.

The owner of the WeChat messaging app has held talks with MySQUAR about commercial partnerships and a potential investment, according to Asia-based bankers. Last week, the company, which owns a messaging app and online games, revealed that it had received a takeover approach from a mystery buyer. However, Tencent has not tabled a formal bid approach, sources said. Since its launch in 1998, Tencent has become the gateway to the internet for nearly 1bn Chinese. It was founded by software developer Pony Ma (Huateng), who is now one of Asias richest men. Tencent, one of the worlds most valuable companies worth nearly 400bn, recently built a 12% stake in the company behind Snapchat. It operates an array of online services, with users able to pay for their groceries, hail a taxi, and buy and sell shares through WeChat. By contrast, MySQUAR has had a rough ride on Londons AIM market since floating in 2015. Its shares have fallen from 10p to just 2.15p, valuing the company at 12m.

Even though it is really easy for PR to get BS articles placed in the Times - A PR company had one placed to attempt to discredit me one time. It does seem they are pulling out all the stops with this particular scam, may be the placing is not as far off as I thought.
