08/5/2006 15:37 | No, link doesn't work for me either, fozzie. | diogenesj
08/5/2006 15:04 | Hi fozzie - dead link there mate - for me anyway in as much as I get a mac message saying no good. As for money tied up in here - well I know what you mean. All I can say is you just don't know when this one will take off - and it is that illiquid that trying to buy any volume when it does motor - like 3K or more, is just impossible without paying a premium. So say it ticked up now to 167p and you want 5K - that's probably 169p you're going to have to pay - if someone isn't on the phone beating you to it. I also belive that when a stock should have risen on fundamentals but hasn't risen for a long time, the end result is often when it does move it moves big, as the price is so far behind the reality. So keep an eye on it and don't blink - I was tryijng to buy this 2 years ago under those circumstances and it was horrible saying to my broker 'buy at best' as the price rolled up like Lance Armstrong's milometre - very frustrating and nerve wrecking. I like to hold knowing I'll catch any mega spike no matter what. CR | cockneyrebel
08/5/2006 14:00 | Hi Cr, I've just taken profits in MCTY in the ISA and used the dosh to double up my MSI holding. As you say, let's hope we move north toward and through this year's results! I have put some CKN away too. Are you holding these, or did you just trade the bounce last week? All the best, G | goatman
08/5/2006 13:32 | Does that qualify as a treeshake?! All the signs are good - just needs a little interest pre-results for a breakout and fresh air to 200p and beyond. | rivaldo
08/5/2006 11:24 | can you believe a company doing this well, 100% growth pa, PE around 7 and in a sector where all others are reporting great performance and they are still at the same level they were 6 months ago! Is the market dozing or what? Non Exec Roger Lane Smith upped his holding from 53K to 88K at 125p too - a 60%+ increase - notsomething you do for a short term scalpin an illiquid stock like this while the company has been buying back recently at 146p. ignored or what? CR | cockneyrebel
08/5/2006 11:18 | MM's not flinching on a 2.5K sell either - must be a further large buy being filled. Breakout gets closer the nearer the results imo. CR | cockneyrebel
07/5/2006 10:58 | 20K looks like a buy that moved the price and cleared a bit of stock imo. CR | cockneyrebel
05/5/2006 23:01 | 20k sell at 14:30?? | gringostar
05/5/2006 22:43 | EPS 2004/5 H1 5.4 H2 7.3 2005/6 H1 8.1 H2 ? Anyone for 2005/6 H2 maybe 10? The MOD contract won in September 2005 will only just be starting to kick in. | gringostar
05/5/2006 15:46 | Well I mentioned YSP above - they've just come out and said they are paying a 10p divi this year - not bad from a stock that was 38p a couple of weeks ago! Now could MSI do the same? I suspect there's a big payback on all these gun barrels and the oher investment they have put in recently. CR | cockneyrebel
05/5/2006 14:29 | Well I've topped up!! Stormy | onlyonestorm
05/5/2006 14:06 | Hi CR, After reading your thread opening summary and after DMOR I took the plunge today. Company does seem cheap and.. (looking at the long term chart),the share price seems to wake up on the release of June results. Hope I've got my timing right and there will be a repeat performance from boring MSI this year too. ;o) | alroyrob
05/5/2006 13:53 | just added a few more to my ISA..i think we are the next leg up..fingers crossed. | gswredland
05/5/2006 13:42 | Have a look at YSP chart. I love boring - YSP is what happenss when boring wakes the punters and turns exciting imo. Anyone for boring MSI ? CR | cockneyrebel
05/5/2006 13:31 | Approaching results in June now - today's move shows how any demand at all should cause a significant move. MSI's share buy backs in the past have foreshadowed good results and big price advances. There's no reason why this year's shouldn't do the same imo. | rivaldo
05/5/2006 12:38 | approaching the breakout level - 3p away. CR | cockneyrebel
05/5/2006 12:35 | And now the offer market size is down to 200. Here we go then. | iandippie
05/5/2006 12:34 | Squaregain will only sell 150 shares (£250) online ! | xdavid
05/5/2006 12:32 | I bought a few too, not showing. | chester
05/5/2006 12:32 | 163. As predicted 20 minutes ago ;-) | iandippie
05/5/2006 12:23 | Ho, ho. SMC and IND on the move too. :-) | iandippie
05/5/2006 12:22 | I just bought a few more (1000), but it's not showing yet, so looks like there is some buying going on, and the MMs are looking for stock. Can only buy 1000, but can sell 2500... | iandippie |
