This looks good news too from today's Times:

"Warship marks naval rebirth

The first warship to be built in Portsmouth naval base for nearly 40 years was launched yesterday. The £80 million offshore patrol vessel, HMS Clyde, marked the renaissance of shipbuilding at the base. The last ship launched at the naval base was the frigate, HMS Andromeda, in 1967.

Final fitting out of the 1,300-tonne ship, built by Vosper Thornycroft, will take place over the next three months, and it is due to be on patrol in the South Atlantic by next summer."

VT are of course MSI's partner for fitting out of gun systems, so I'd say there's a high probability that this is more work for MSI.

This is what Severfield Rowan said today:

"All operating companies are performing ahead of their budgets as a result of a good mix of contracts going through the production facilities, increased usage of capacity and enhanced buying power through our joint venture Steel UK. Our order book has grown to a record £230 million and the industry continues to experience robust enquiry levels."

Read that last bit: "the industry continues to experience robust enquiry levels."

Petrol Station Canopies, Pre-fabricared Buildings like all Esso's 'On the Runs' throughout Europe plus other buildings.

Fork lift forks - how much is bing shipped? Loads of stuff, the world is booming, that has to be lifted off ships and lorries.

Gun Barrels - huge orders picked up this year!

MSI firing on all barrels imo.

LOL!

Results in the next 2 weeks are looming large - now's the time to get in for those interested. Note again the lack of any warnings, the buying in of shares by the company and the director buying, plus the P/E as flagged by CR above....

Wow! A buy of 6 shares (c. £10) ups the price by 2% - MMs must be short!

MM'S know they are going to get crucified at some point I think - reckon they raised yesterday on no trades cos they knew the SFR trading statement was coming.

Question, who's annual earning growth goes 1.8p, 4.2p, 10.8p, (7.7p in H1) ?

And I'd hazzard a guess that you can't find that sort of consistent growth anywhere else on the LSE.

Then when you think about the forward PE - 7? less?

well considering the PE I can't see why anyone would sell with the results imminent.

MM's marked down today in the hope to trigger sellers imo - no trades, so why the mark down? Same with ISD - marked down at the open but no trade till 9.55am and a small one at that.

MM's that have buyers line up chance their arm in these markets - try to buy and they quickily mark back up - look at FDP today - up straight away in the sniff of a buyer.
