06/10/2023 09:07 | And back up! | johndoe23
05/10/2023 12:56 | Whilst frustrating to see any weakness I think it is more to do with the general market. The company really have produced some significant US Naval contracts which hopefully will go from strength to strength. Potentially the ace in the pack in the short term is how VSHORAD develops which has got off to a flyer. DSEI 2023 was only last month. | yasrub
05/10/2023 12:46 | Ready to go up with the announcement of a new contract tomorrow??? That's what happened last week... | gswredland
05/10/2023 12:15 | And down she goes, again | johndoe23
03/10/2023 09:06 | Nice mention on stockopedia this morning | johndoe23
03/10/2023 06:08 | Biggest share volume I can recall in MSI yesterday since the institutional seller four years ago.New record share price on high volume is what many astute investors seek. | westofengland
02/10/2023 11:15 | Another contract confirm I can see the contracts rolling in over the next few weeks | primarch1
02/10/2023 11:11 | Bear in mind the investment case a year ago was based just on the US Navy Contracts. We now have an equally promising land based offering (Paladin) where MSI have received GBP75m of orders within a year of launching it with likely lots more to come. This is just as lucrative as the Navy contact. | norbert colon
02/10/2023 10:40 | Also some USCG ships such as the Polar Security Cutter (PSC) are planned to receive the Mk38 Mod4 but only a few vessels of this class. Other cutters could possibly receive them too over time. | norbert colon
02/10/2023 10:39 | The only known public information is that we understand the US Navy plan (plans can change) to roll these GWS out over the Flight III and either Flight II or IIA (or perhaps both) over time. Given no more Flight IIA's are being built this must mean retro-fit / upgrade works. Flight III's are being built at around 2-3 year. Roll out to other vessels such as the Light Amphibious Warship (LaW) was planned but Google the delays around this vessel. Just 2 x Flight III a year is around $14m of revenue for a subsidiary with annual sales of £30m on a good year so even those few vessels per annum are material to MSI. | norbert colon
02/10/2023 10:21 | Thanks guys. Any thoughts about likely speed of roll-out to US Navy? I reckon there are about 100 DDG´s in the fleet. I really have no idea if it´s 5,10, or 50 DDG´s per year :) | eezymunny
02/10/2023 09:03 | Had the same realisation about the cannon cost myself over the weekend! | norbert colon
02/10/2023 08:40 | Interesting they have not RNSed yet. Anymore news? | yasrub
02/10/2023 08:21 | Eezy, Yes the 30mm canons are NG, I suspect they may be supplied to Rock Hill rather than Norwich. Excellent relationship with MSI (note speed of delivery to MSI for the initial VSHORAD contract) I suspect the cost was contained within Fridays $22m as with the $29m for the optical sensors you're at around the $3.25m Mk38 Mod 4 unit price. | cockerhoop
02/10/2023 08:13 | Ah ha that's better | johndoe23
02/10/2023 08:11 | guns still to come it seems | felix99
02/10/2023 08:11 | Are the guns not made by Northrop Grumman? Any idea what the relationship is with them? | eezymunny
02/10/2023 08:11 | MSI-Defence Systems US LLC,* Rock Hill, South Carolina, is awarded a $29,263,267 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/ | felix99
30/9/2023 22:02 | All that's been ordered so far is the Mk88 mount and the support / maintenance. No order yet for the Mk44 NG cannon, MSI's EOS sensor or the installation/integra | norbert colon
30/9/2023 21:11 | I see your point... | johndoe23
30/9/2023 19:15 | well they have ordered gun mounts and maintenance so presumably they need to order the guns at some stage - or is this a UK defence procurement project where they order those bits first and then cancel the guns ! | felix99
30/9/2023 18:01 | Elaborate?! | johndoe23
30/9/2023 16:37 | Don't sleep in on Monday, there could be a further RNS ;-) | cockerhoop
29/9/2023 11:51 | SP is just the same at open yesterday | johndoe23
29/9/2023 10:32 | Exactly, I actually was mulling adding | johndoe23 |
