Amir - You're raising everyone's hopes too high only to be dashed.
I'm realistically going to say to you folk that this is going to be a long waiting game if this involves HMRC.

Even if the vat issue is resolved monsy is needed in Oct as per placing rns, will we have to wait a few weeks for a general meeting if vat resolved

Tony even if its resolved placing needs to go ahead so they’ll probably issue an rns once this is resolved too

If the VAT issue was resolved why not put out RNS... I just hope they have held it back so that they can release some material news alongside.

Nothing is hard to understand.

The point is that there has been some confusion over whether they should have charged VAT on their invoices. Obviously accountants thought not as they would have raised it.

My point is that it makes no difference in terms of tax raised to the HMRC. Why put a company into administration when there is no financial gain for HMRC?

Same here. Either an item is VATable or it isn't. If VAT wasn't charged, re-invoice charging it and pay it to the HMRC in the ordinary way. Then it becomes Allay's problem.

if i have a query about VAT i go straight to my accountants then HMRC.

Their accountants may not look at the whole supply chain, just the business they are auditing.

The Ally 24% charge is the key to all of this.

if that email is needed then they should sack their accountants.

Thanks ff good find,if they were savvy enough they wouldnt have got themselves in the mess in the first place you would have hoped.Unless its been an underhanded practice. Lets hope he has the decency to acknowledge your concerns, and reply to your email. Thanks

Agreed; they should have. However, for them to have got into the mess does make you wonder about their business competency.

I also am a bit dubious about the Allay side of things, so may take this up with the VAT authorities if i do not get a reply.
