Happy to buy in this morning at what seems like a bargain price compared to mid Feb. I’d expect buying to pick up pre close as others get in before what should be excellent results tomorrow.

These results are for FY upto Dec 31 so zero flu virus complications, thus, they will be excellent. Question is, just how excellent? I imagine January was an excellent month too, Feb not so much, but outlook to continue being excellent, maybe even a positive knock on effect from the chinese slow down in production? Less reliance globally on man power in production? All good news for us imo.

Flip side of the coin is that story may have changed and you find yourself on the expensive side of the price spectrum. Question then becomes: have you really thought on how to account for such an outcome? Not saying the above will be the case necessarily but preparing for any eventuality is the name of the game innit (am sure I must have read it somewhere).

Results out on Weds I believe..

As long as the story hasn't changed I don't think you can buy much cheaper than MPAC given the growth prospects.

Week ahead has 1 main update:

Wed: #MPAC
EoW: #AIEA?

#MPAC's y/e TU had a "trading ahead of" update & a note on a "strong order book for execution in 2020". All eyes on any updates to this outlook on Wed. After a 26% share price fall last week, this now looks cheap if outlook reiterated

Oh yes and FY results are out on Wednesday which will give us an outlook. I'd rather be in than out tbh, but that's just my opinion

Very prudent. However, given that China's ability to produce goods is currently crippled, and other parts of the worlds producers will have to pick up some of the slack, and given that MPAC has limited exposure to China, I'd say there's a fair to good chance that this saga may actually be inadvertently putting mpac into a stronger position. I shall be topping up in the morning if we're still under 300p, the lower the better imo.

tongosti . Thanks for your very informative reply . As I wrote earlier , I'll look before markets open tomorrow at 8.00 and see what the markets in Japan and China have done , ie whether the calming of the storm in the US on Friday carries over to the Far East . Shares here , like several others , showed a slight recovery on Friday . Mr Numpty .

Mrnumpty, corovirus is (obviously) a virus, thus it needs a host to stay alive. If someone who is infected coughs onto an apple for example, the virus cannot stay alive for very long. If you wash all fruit an veg it will almost certainly be virus free, thus no need for plastic.

john09 . Thanks for your reply of 28th February to my question here . I am very tempted to buy here , prompted by SCSW and the sharp pull-back in the price which , as you write , means the Company is very cheap . Things improved somewhat in the US on Friday as a result of supportive comments by the head of the US Federal Reserve . I shall see what the Nikkei and the Hang Sang do tomorrow ( Monday ) morning , ie whether the stop in the rot in the USA prompts a similar response there . My only caveat or slight doubt concerning Mpac is that the Company is benefitting from the move in packaging away from plastics . However , part of my own personal response to this virus ( in spite of being very keen to reduce my consumption of plastics ) has been to avoid loose fruit and veg in the supermarkets , instead only buying those which are protected by their plastic packaging from the fingers and coughing of other customers . I presume that many other customers have had the same thought .

Patience people

The market has grotesquely overreacted to the coronavirus - with regard to MPAC

Like Tiger says - just be patient - All good things come to those that wait...

MPAC will deliver good numbers next week ( with possible upgrades from brokers etc)

Worse case 35p eps for this year and 40p next so with patience being a virtue by hook or by crook with SCSW and I/C's blessing we'll be headed back to £3.50 plus.

The market will reward decent stocks in these precarious times and MPAC is a gem.

Need I Say more
