castleford do you know what % of MPAC work is affected by China and where MPAC's parts come from?

Tekmar took a pasting the other day on the china news - probably an opportunity there.

martin

The expected MIX of work was not forecast to be as profitable.

That's why they was a reduction.

However I am of the opinion that once again upgrades will follow.

Note the p/e ignores cash and any possible bolt on company.
I have 45p eps for current year

Martin I wouldnt look to much into any analysts predictions just yet, I'd wait for the revised forcasts once we see the FY results and outlook. My guess is the so called 'experts' don't fully appreciate what the company has been upto recently.

With only 20 million shares in issue we could see an abnormal rise on results day should they beat even the most optimistic forecast. It could become very difficult to buy in if the demand outstrips the supply.

Haven't looked at this for a while & hope someone can help me with a couple of queries.
Firstly, why EPS is forecast to decline 7% in 2020?
31-Dec-19 89.00 6.67 36.17p 10.1
31-Dec-20 95.27 6.65 33.67p 10.9
Concensus above shows Rev's increasing to 95.27 PBT slight dip but EPS 7% down & PE increasing to 10.9x
My other concern is the Rev's coming from China which fell 25% (£1.7m)last year but are still material.
Any thoughts would be welcome.

I am not comparing but flagging up a worldwide China effect (Apple is another one today too).
IMO the coronavirus will have a negative effect on many companies. Oilers, miners and industrials will be the first to suffer. Then China being the trigger, the longest bull market will come to an end and start correcting. So I cannot see any company as excellent as it can be, escaping the correction. For the long term, it will be OK, but for the short/medium term, I prefer to stay in cash and just keep the minimum exposed to the market.

Comparing TGP to MPAC is almost as pointless as comparing SOM to MPAC

Cheers 3fiona - Region/China market share doesn't look important as it is the lowest - just about 11%: "Sales by region were, Americas GBP26.9m (2017: GBP23.2m), EMEA GBP24.7m (2017: GBP20.4m) and Asia GBP6.7m (2017: GBP9.8m)".

Following Tekmar (TGP)results flagging up China's negative effects, I will not top up until the results. Does anybody believe MPAC would be affected by China standstill economy ? What's MPAC market share in China and neighboring countries ? I think this is very important when one takes a look at TGP results.

Is this on a Current PE of 8 when you stop out the cash? For a company upgrading profits 5 times in a year it should be on a PE of 25
