23/6/2019 12:11 | Who knows, seems clear there is a big seller at the moment. Liquidity is not good on this share, doesnt take much. Dont get me wrong, i just bought some at 698, i consider that cheap for a company with the growth and divvy growth of gleesons, and its well oversold with nothing wrong with the company . | cornishpasty78
22/6/2019 17:04 | He may be limited by his contract - and he would be foolish to take action to damage his own (significant) investment. Mind you, he can of course afford a hit if he is truly p’d off by the Board. | lex ixtle
22/6/2019 15:23 | Jolyon selling some of his 1.9M shares seems a real possibility to me. | cornishpasty78
21/6/2019 22:53 | Expect volatility. Change of CEO will take time to settle and corporate plans will change. Underlying businesses are however still solid. Should recover as the ripples from CEO exit subside. | lex ixtle
21/6/2019 18:59 | I cant find any info / news to support the drop post CEO news. Looking at volu6on Yahoo finance today, it looks like there were more buys than sells, with apps 100k / 170k bought at 11am today. All a bit strange? | twovvs
21/6/2019 17:20 | no one has commented on the contiuing fall here including a massive 8pc down today-anyone knows anything apart from the cfo leaving? | ali47fish
13/6/2019 18:12 | This is a great company. Continuous revenue and profit growth. Land will be worth a fortune over the next 5-10 years. Super bullish on Gleeson and the fact that the number of houses being built is increasing yoy is excellent. High p/e is justified as Gleeson is a growth stock and should continue to do so over the next decade. We do not have enough affordable housing in this country. | nitbhav06
13/6/2019 11:27 | Well he is a very greedy person and perhaps the remuneration committee might have acted sooner. On the other hand he has added significant share value. If Gleeson get a good replacement then the share value should recover. LI | lex ixtle
13/6/2019 10:31 | if the press reports are accurate, then they were right to sack Jolyon though we haven't heard his side of the story...good company agreed but apparently more highly rated in p/e terms than others. | mw8156
13/6/2019 10:01 | come on where is everyone here- this is supposed to be a good company? | ali47fish
23/2/2019 10:43 | IC Tip of Week "Gleeson runs the risk of being lumped in with the other housebuilders. That would be wrong because its business model has several key differentiators, not least that it operates exclusively at the affordable end of the market, with a business model that works closely with local authorities. It’s true that the shares are thinly traded, which explains the wide spread between bid and offer prices (see table), but they are rated on an earnings multiple about equal to the forecast EPS growth rate out to 2020-21 and offer a nice dividend yield. Buy. " BTW my experience is the spread is a lot less than advertised. | podgyted
14/2/2019 16:04 | Good movement today following the excellent results and significant increase in the dividend | bwm2
14/2/2019 08:59 | Very quiet here - I would have said that was a brilliant set of interim figures and very positive outlook. | podgyted
24/12/2018 09:26 | Yes there houses are cheap but yet still 75% of their sales are coming from help to buy so I still think it will impact them. | stevenbetts
19/12/2018 09:54 | their houses are so cheap and in demand that, unless the economy turns really ugly, the demise of 'help to buy yachts for executives', as the FT calls it, will make little difference IMO. | mw8156
19/12/2018 09:20 | Drop will relate to help to buy being phased out by government. From memory 75% of their sales are help to buy. Scheme stops in 2020. | stevenbetts
10/10/2018 17:44 | What’s going on with the Gleeson share price drop? | jdgriff
13/2/2018 16:06 | why is this one falling? | ali47fish
11/8/2017 14:33 | A great buying oportunity today | big_cat
05/7/2017 09:30 | Good update this morning and the company looks to be trading well with the strength moving through into this coming year. I don't understand why there has been a wobble in the share price over the last couple of weeks but that seems to be over now with the price recovered to pre-wobble levels. With low cost housing allegedly high on the government's objectives GLE should continue to prosper. | edale |
