"Investments in tourism with particular focus on mountain, health & wellness as well as spa tourism, gastronomy and diving tourism, port upgrades, beach accessibility "

Ticks quite a few boxes for the proposed Cavo Sidero development

Extract:-

"The Greek tourism sector stands to gain from a total of 57 billion euros in funding out of the country’s national recovery and resilience plan which includes projects, investments and reforms in four key areas and was presented on Wednesday.

Investments in tourism with particular focus on mountain, health & wellness as well as spa tourism, gastronomy and diving tourism, port upgrades, beach accessibility and special training and upskilling programs for employees at tourism enterprises are areas eligible for funding under the national recovery plan, said Alternate Finance Minister Theodore Skylakakis during the official presentation of the plan dubbed “Ellada 2.0”. Sky's the limit if it was an offer of shares and their first acquisition.

Assetco does have financial clout with the likes of the Tosca fund and their 12% stake, Gilbert's connections, and of course, they can offer shares rather than cash.

Aye, we've always had to do that.

rafboy, Add up the directors holdings those of their associates, DAGG and Zachary. They probably have a controlling interest and can do what they like.

Should see more interest from now on if the rumour mill is correct. As for price it has to be between 3p and 5p to have any chance of success I would have thought. May be more, all guesswork at this point.

They could easily take this over for song with the directors and their cohorts probably already having a controlling stake. Nice jobs for the boys in the new group, and a pay off for CE.

It's a possibility (one of many as waterloo has commented) and good joining of the dots Will. One possibility I guess would be Assetco offering shares to takeover MIN at a valuation that gives a significant premium to the current price.

Well come April 16th I reckon, given the new strategy of AssetCo, given its new chairman will be non other than Martin Gilbert and we all know the connection there, Min fits their criteria to a (golfing)tee and will be the first on their list of acquisitions.

They have access to considerable funds - but how much would they offer..............??

Agree with wi1l - I have been saying for some time now - you don’t bet against MG. Suggest taking a small stake in ASTO before the fun starts on 16th April. Maybe MIN would be one of his first asset acquisitions - after all he has had a year to see what MIN could deliver.

W1ll there is so much 'cash' sloshing around the system that they had to invent SPACS and Bidco's! What makes the one you've highlighted stick out?

EXPECTED ADMISSION DATE:

16 April 2021

And which company applies to this:

"where the Directors believe structural shifts have the
potential to deliver exceptional growth opportunities."

And

"This could include strategic acquisitions of undervalued asset and
wealth management businesses which have core capabilities that
play to these structural shifts, and where active management
can unlock value."

Makes you wonder even more...........

Given the size, more likely 7m into a pension and the 700k into an ISA. Nothing like shielding for tax!

2x7m and 2x700k rolled over? A seller cleared? TR1 on the way?
It should liven up discussion.

In which case ignore that as things should be clearer in April before the Orthodox Easter (just checked dates and didn't realise it's so much later this year).
